After an incredible weekend we just wanted to say one thing… THANK YOU <3 The TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon weekend would not be possible without help from: Over 31,000 participants from across Canada and all over the WORLD at this SOLD OUT event Thousands of volunteers The behinds the scenes Race Crew @runCRS team Our elite and recreational athletes All of our event partners The our run crews and community partners operating the most CHEER STATIONS we’ve ever had along the course (and the most cheer stations at any race in Canada - over 35 of them!) Members of the TCS Charity Challenge on their way to raising over $2M for 165+ Charities The City of Toronto, BikeShare Toronto and Cycle Toronto for working with us to get you around safely during the event Give some thanks to your family, friends, coaches, partners and whoever supported you throughout your training and efforts this weekend. This finish line was for YOU. From all of us to all of you, THANK YOU SO SO MUCH ❤️ The weekend was perfect for marathoning, half marathoning, and 5K-ing, with the rain holding off until almost the end of Sunday. ✨ My dream shoe rotation for my Toronto Half Marathon training ✨👟🍁 Here’s what I’ve been rotating throughout this training cycle: 👟 Metaspeed Sky Tokyo — my fast days and race-pace workouts. 👟 Superblast 3 — long runs and those days when I want a little extra bounce. 👟 Novablast 5 & 6 — my fun, versatile daily trainers. 👟 Gel Nimbus 28 — easy and recovery runs when comfort is the priority. ☁️ 👟 Magic Speed 4 — speed workouts and tempo sessions. 👟 Gel Kayano 33 — when I want a little extra stability and support. Little disclaimer: having this many running shoes is definitely NOT normal. I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to be one of the Toronto Marathon ambassadors and to have the opportunity to try and train in so many different shoes. ❤️ When I first started running, I had ONE pair of running shoes and wore them for an entire year. And honestly, that was completely fine! 😂 You absolutely do NOT need a closet full of running shoes to be a runner. But if you’re able to, I’d recommend having at least two pairs to rotate between. Different shoes can work well for different types of runs, and I personally love having a rotation now. From one pair for an entire year… to THIS. 🥹👟 I guess I’ve come a long way!
