During ND’s College Football Playoff matchup against Indiana, a photo of Charles’ locker nameplate was shared and it quickly became a fan favorite. He wore it for the rest of the CFP as well. Also have to shout out, Jackson He, an ASU RB, who was the first person to do so back in 2019-2021. He became the first Chinese-born player to play for a P5 conference team when he appeared in a game against UCLA on December 5, 2020.

His mom refused to sign his Letter of Intent to Ohio State because she wanted him at Tennessee… so he ended up being forced to commit to the Vols. It gets even crazier: his entire signing-day table was Ohio State-themed, and he posted multiple Buckeye-leaning graphics on social media today, all of which have since been deleted now that he no longer runs his own account. What an absolutely wild recruiting saga.

Oregon was so fed up with Colorado 😭 This was easily one of the most anticipated games of the year up to that point. Colorado was the talk of college football, while Oregon was building serious momentum.
