A few weeks ago, I woke up before the sun, shaken from a dream. In that dream, I was back in Iran walking the streets that raised me, the ones my feet remembered before my mind did. I stood in my grandmother’s home. In my childhood home. Every wall carried a memory, every corner a voice. When I opened my eyes, I was crying. It was a dream.. none of those people are there anymore And the ones who are… are not the same. Time doesn’t just move forward. It takes, it reshapes, it leaves echoes behind. You may not understand this kind of longing for a place that you’re not allowed to go back and I hope you never do. But I dream of a day I can return to Iran where people can afford to live, not just survive. Where there is freedom, dignity, and peace. A place where its people live the lives they deserve, and where foreigners can finally experience the beauty of the culture, the warmth of the food, and the kindness of the people I know so well. Until then, these memories are my home - چند هفته پیش، قبل از طلوع آفتاب، از خوابی بیدار شدم که هنوز با من بود. خواب دیده بودم ایرانم. در همان کوچه‌هایی که با من بزرگ شدند. خانه‌ی مادربزرگم… خانه‌ی پدر و مادرم. وقتی بیدار شدم، گریه می‌کردم. چون خیلی از آن آدم‌ها دیگر نیستند، و آن‌هایی هم که هستند، دیگر مثل قبل نیستند. دلتنگی عجیبی بود. از آن‌هایی که با زمان می‌آیند و می‌مانند. آرزو دارم روزی برگردم به ایرانی که مردمش فقط زنده نمانند، زندگی کنند. با آزادی، آرامش، و دلِ راحت. ایرانی که آدم‌هایش خوشحال باشند، و دیگران هم بتوانند زیبایی فرهنگش، طعم غذاهایش، و مهربانی مردمش را ببینند. تا آن روز، این خاطره‌ها خانه‌ی من‌اند. . #ایران #تهران
