Dear Mella,

Sorry, it’s taken me a minute to gather my thoughts and reflect. Letting you go was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life. A piece of me died that day with you. What a light you were in my life and have now instilled a constant reminder to live more in the present. You taught me how to have grace and patience. I was 20 when we met, and we both grew together. 16 years together we lived in 6 states, traveled countless cities, countries, in planes, trains, boats, canoes, you name it, we did it. You were there when I was broke and couldn’t afford dog food, so we shared peanut butter sandwiches together. You didn’t care as long as we had each other. You humbled me and always reminded me to stay grounded.

Time doesn’t seem to rush, life does. I was recently reminded that the years fly by, the days seem long, but not to forget what’s in between. That hit me like a ton of bricks. You saw me grow into the person I am today, build my career, find my lovely wife @chelstache, and your brother Maui as we started our own family. We were one. Reflecting on all the moments we had and years we shared together, I can only see joy. Joy that carried me through the good and bad times. Joy that has blessed my friends and family with your presence. And damnit, I’d be lying if I said it’s been “normal” trying to move on. Though I’m completely heartbroken, your light will always stay with me. Even though your pain ends, ours begins, and I’m ok with that because you made every second count in life. This chapter comes to an end, but a new one begins. Be free and young again, sweet girl. I’ll see you on the other side. Miss you always.

Love you,

Dad

There’s nothing like that first bit of early morning light hitting after waiting in the pitch black darkness. Makes it all worth it 👌🏼

This project was a blast to create. We embraced the chance and leaned into whatever we could pull off. Felt good to hone in on my craft again and just relish the process. 03/31 👀 Any ideas?

Decided to walk 20 blocks instead of take the train just so I could capture some moments along the way. Felt good to get out of the editing bay and shoot again. Making it a goal to section off time every week just to go out and explore. I need it. My brain needs it. Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

I’ve been getting more into the world of abstract architecture, fashion, design, etc. lately and been loving every bit of it. We shot for an hour and managed to shoot stills and video. When you’re dialed, things moved quick 👏🏼 @rayanaragan crushed it 🤌🏽 🎥 soon 👀

Last set of moments from our trip to Paris. Can’t wait to go back someday and see all new things as they unfold throughout the seasons. Hope everyone is having an awesome week and happy Friday 🫶🏼

Little photo walk with the legend @mackwoodruff on a snowy afternoon. Decided to snap on the @leicacamerausa Q3 Monochrom. 10/10 didn’t disappoint and I love the black and white sensor and how it renders the light and dark values. Yall know I had a to throw another garbage pic in there 🤌🏽

I’m really eager to start a limited series print release and keep it small. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the process of seeing my work printed and would love to bring that back. Everyone always says they love prints, but very few actually buy them. I would love for these to be larger statement pieces as well. Printed locally, signed by me, packaged, and everything handcrafted. Thoughts? This was shot on the Mamiya RZ67

More frames from the other day 👏🏼🎥 Amazing what a shift in perspective you can achieve with a solid lens choice. I had others with me and wanted to break it up, but then loved every angle I got with how open the scene. Happy Saturday yall 🫶🏼

Glamour moment for the dogs. These pups bless us each day. Sometime annoying and needy, but always goofy and loving. It was only right to get updated portraits of them. 👌🏼🐾 thanks @philipbradley for holding the light 🥹👏🏼

This warm weather has me feeling some type of way 👏🏼 Went from being raining and semi-chilly fall energy to full blown hot as balls in New York. A more gradual transition would’ve been ideal but nonetheless summer is here!

Collection of on-the-go shots over the last few months or so with the M-11 P. I need to do more everyday lifestyle photo dumps for sure because I love the moments in between the most. I’ll make it a goal 🫶🏼

Some of my favorite photos I’ve taken in a long time have stemmed from this project. There is truly nothing quite like the feeling of being in your flow state, your rhythm. It’s everything. When I really lock in, things go quiet and I feel untouchable. I aim to be in that zone more as my career develops. 🙏🏼

The calm before the storm yesterday 🌨️😮‍💨 With a snow covered and fogged up lens, you get some sweet moments in there. Everyone out for a snow day today in New York?

Here are some snaps from this week. It’s been a hectic few weeks as we settled into our new office and apartment. There’s still a lot to catch up on, but we’re making progress and getting it all dialed. Hope everyone is off to a great Friday 👏🏼

Portugal’s moments between filming and chaos serve as a constant reminder to pause and appreciate the fleeting pockets of quietness. Definitely need to get back there someday to properly explore 👏🏼
