A beautiful day for the @bmovanmarathon. Woke up feeling a bit under the weather and wasn’t sure it was going to be my day. But I was spurred along by the amazing athletes I got to race along side, the incredible people lining the streets cheering and the picturesque course. I’m working really hard on being better at being proud of myself, and this was an effort that I am proud of. Sub 3 hour marathoner, that has a really nice ring to it. Thank you to all the amazing volunteers that make this event possible, @runvancanada for all you do year round for this amazing community and to all the partners and sponsors. And as always, @stephenpaulking you are incredible. Thank you for everything you do for me, and the whole endurance community. Fuelling ⚡️ @herbalandnaturals Shoes 👟 donated by Chris Napier! Dayna Pidhoresky continues her dominance with a 2:35:07, now holding the Top 3 all-time results at the BMO Vancouver Marathon @bmovanmarathon @runvancanada #bmovm #runvan Dominic Arce hit a new course record in 2:14:33. Visiting from Oregon, USA, Arce ascended past the old course record of 2:15:01 held by Yuki Kawauchi of Japan, who was third this year in 2:18:16. The overall event record remains 2:13:14 by Garry Henry of Australia. In 2:16:53, Tristan Woodfine from Ontario takes second overall and Top Canadian along with Dayna. Lindsay Lamrock, from PEI, and Claire Sumner, from Alberta, Canada, round out the women's podium in 2:39:50 and 2:45:27. Congrats to all Marathon finishers! Bring Photo ID and your emailed bib number. Kids Run is also Saturday, 11am, at Ceperly Park inside Stanley Park. Kit pickup only at the Expo. Race bibs are non-transferable and may not be sold. RACE RECAP – YOKOHAMA MARATHON 🇯🇵 Please sign my petition to have onigiri at every race 🙇‍♀️ My first true marathon, and what a wild way to do it!!! So grateful to run a little recon for @runvancanada at our Japan sister race. Course 🗺️ : Fast and fun, weaving through Yokohama’s streets and a fully closed expressway. Aid Stations 🍙 : 18 mini buffets — pancakes, jellies, bananas, you name it. Volunteers 👏 : The best. I’ve never high-fived so many strangers. Spectators 📣 : Actual angels. They cheered nonstop, handed out Coke, and even shared cooling spray. Despite minimal training, we had such a blast. The energy, kindness, and sense of togetherness made this one to remember. Can’t wait to bring some Vancouver magic their way next May ✨ #yokohamamarathon #running #marathon #japan #runvan #onambassador #racerecap #dreamon @on #racedayedit

You may also leave a warm layer on the Start Line fencing and it will be donated to charity. Corrals and wave starts assist volunteers and help ease congestion. Start only with your corral. Bibs must be visible and may not be resold. If you haven't secured entry, volunteer and cheer! Headphones should be removed. Enjoy the race environment and do not block other racers. Recycle and never litter. Dispose of cups and gels at aid stations, never on the streets or course.
