Toronto’s newest concert venue, @rogers_stadium, just opened and I went to one of their first ever concerts: Coldplay! It was nothing short of magic!  *Ad Part of what made the concert so great - I familiarized myself with the venue before I went for the smoothest experience possible. I’m sharing all of my top tips, so you can also have the best experience possible! LOCATION: Rogers Stadium is located in North York, at YZD, the former Downsview Airport Lands.  GETTING THERE: Rogers Stadium is encouraging everyone to get there sustainably by walking, biking, or taking public transit! TTC and Go Transit rides home from the concert will be FREE for concert goers. There will also be increased service during concerts.  Rogers Stadium has also collaborated with BikeShare TO and CycleTO to make biking to the venue incredibly easy. CycleTO is offering courtesy bike lock-ups!  CONCERT ENTRY TIPS: The main entrance is through gate 1. If you’re a Rogers customer, you and three friends get priority access at gate 2 (show your Rogers App for proof) If you’re an American Express Cardholder, you and three friends can enter through the AMEX gate (Gate 3). Show your physical card for entry. WHAT TO BRING: There are over 30 water refill stations so bring an EMPTY plastic reusable water bottle or hydration pack. Metal or glass bottles are not allowed. This is a rain or shine venue so make sure to dress for the weather.  Small purses, sunscreen, small umbrellas, and portable battery packs are allowed. Check the Rogers Stadium page for a full list of what you can bring. FAN PLAZA: Fan Plaza opens at 4pm - come early and enjoy bites and refreshments, activations, a Ferris Wheel, shop for artist merch and more. After the main act, the Fan Plaza remains open so fans can hang out and avoid the post-show rush. SUSTAINABILITY:  To cut back on single-use plastics, Rogers Stadium is serving drinks in reusable cups and food with compostable packaging!  Rogers stadium is working hard  to make concerts more eco-friendly,  from donating leftover food to local shelters to reducing single-use plastic food packaging. Together, we can all make a difference! #rogersstadium
