They were here first, so respect them, protect them. Educate yourself on how to make this planet a better place, because there is no space for selfish, egocentric people who don’t care, overconsume, and exploit. Trust me, it affects us all, including you

Okay, so let's talk about this one. First and foremost, I do believe @ishowspeed has done an amazing job helping people through his donations and videos, which I must admit I have enjoyed. With that being said, as a shark conservationist, a marine biology student, and someone deeply passionate about the ocean, seeing sharks treated like domesticated animals is pissing me off, despite his recognition and achievements. Why am I mad? Because this is very dangerous. People like @ishowspeed have a lot of power by owning such a huge platform to raise awareness and treat wildlife well, because if his fans saw it, they would do it too, but that doesn't bring in as many likes and views as jumping on sharks and holding them above the water. I guess. What I want to say is that people who have seen this video will attempt to do the same. Despite nurse sharks being a very calm shark species and having a notorious reputation for that, there were still accidents because people didn't pay much attention and then blamed the shark. Additionally, nobody would even attempt this with other species, such as tiger sharks, so why them? I want to avoid more people getting bitten by them, because it's always their fault, even though the reality behind it is different. Don't hate; educate yourself before entering the water with sharks, support ethical places that don't exploit for profit, and join professionals who understand sharks and their behaviour to avoid accidents.

I know it looks cute and you definitely want that cute video, but here is the truth. Specifically, this place is called Salaam Cave in Zanzibar, and it's super unethical and definitely not good for the turtles. Places where you can directly feed, touch, bathe, pose for a pic, and engage in other activities that are normalised on social media usually come at a higher cost to the animal. For this occasion, you should never touch adult marine turtles and feed them unless they are in a rehabilitation centre for a certain reason. You have a background in marine/reptile biology, or you are under the supervision of other biologists/ conservationists. Direct feeding can cause changes in their feeding patterns, and touching without gloves for no reason can lead to disease transmission, don't do it 🤡 I also joined @panglao_freediving_adventures for this experience, and I can recommend them; they won't let you touch anything, which is how it should be! Educate yourself and don't forget to follow.

I’ve been feeling overwhelmed, like so many of us who are paying attention. Watching people lose their families and watching others live in fear for speaking out. At the same time, administrations strip away human rights, m*rder innocent people on the streets, and destroy natural resources for profit and for eternal economic growth, even though we never have enough as we tend to overconsume until nothing is left. Watching g*nocide unfold. Watching people in Iran protest for fundamental freedom and being m*rdered in the streets by the thousands. And while all of this is happening, instead of focusing on protecting the ecosystems we depend on entirely, we keep repeating the same mistakes, choosing the same people in different suits. People who exploit our planet push it closer to collapse and drive species to extinction. Silence only protects the oppressor. You don’t need to be perfect. You don’t need a massive platform. But you can make a difference, in your voice, your choices, your actions. Don’t stay silent. Just do something.

These encounters truly happen if you respect and appreciate nature. We were on a dive with my mom at a manta cleaning station, but seeing this with my own eyes is something I will never forget. But with diving comes a significant responsibility. This was a cleaning station, where many species of reef fish came to clean the mantas of parasites. We stayed gently at the edge of the station, hovering above the coral without damaging anything, and were not chasing them, touching them, or doing anything that could disrupt their natural behaviour, or coming too close, because they were so comfortable with us that they came all the way to us. However, online, you can see people and influencers and mantas being touched and chased just for a good video, and this should not be normalised. Don’t support unethical places that allow such things, and always educate yourself before booking with an operator. Also, this July I will be hosting a conservation trip in Bali, where we will also be going to talk about ethical diving with mantas while also contributing to real manta conservation, so I hope to see you there🧜‍♂️ #nature #ocean #diving #viral #shotoniphone

I know it's been feeling very overwhelming to see everything going on in the world, and trust me, the environmental anxiety is real and got me so many times… However, imagine this world without all the people who care “too much,” because there is nothing like caring about the only livable planet we know in our universe, with all its beautiful creatures. So this is just a reminder not to give up, because we need more awareness and more people who care. After all, YOU make a difference. Also, completely recommend watching David Attenborough's new documentary about it and also giving the credit for the additional footage to: @silverback_films, @menkay.ig and anchor on the reef @alosobak 🪸

This was one of the most beautiful underwater encounters I've ever had, and I probably won't get over it. During my travels, I was lucky enough to see this aggregation of Mantas in the Maldives, and it truly did not feel real. Mantas are pure magic, and no matter how many times you see them, the feeling never fades. If you ever get the chance to dive with them, respect their space: move slowly, don’t touch, and simply let them glide around you. Leave only bubbles. Instead of supporting places that keep animals for profit, choose ethical alternatives. Many true sanctuaries, often small, non-governmental organisations, focus on rescuing and rehabilitating marine life to release them back into the wild. They rely heavily on donations and eco-tourism to keep going, and your support makes a real difference. I also want to acknowledge that not all aquariums are the same. Some play an important role in breeding endangered species, rehabilitating animals, or studying marine life, all of which help protect them in the wild. You can also help mantas and marine wildlife everywhere by reducing, reusing, and recycling plastic to keep our oceans clean, and by avoiding commercially processed seafood. Bycatch from large-scale fisheries is one of the biggest threats to marine life, causing massive population declines worldwide. The best way will always be to see these gentle giants in the wild, free, where they belong. Let’s care more so future generations can feel the same magic. I also filmed this video with @divevolk_de, so definitely check out all my discounts and codes in my bio! Enjoy🤿💙

The people who genuinely care are labelled “terrorists” But I’ll wear that label proudly. Because I have been in the water. I have seen bleached reefs with my own eyes, ecosystems that took thousands of years to build, gone within decades. Entire coral systems that fed and sustained local coastal communities, reduced to graveyards. But they’re just poor people, right? Not worth the headlines like promised eternal economic growth. We didn’t do coral restoration for fun. We weren’t adding pretty corals to empty spaces. We were there because the reefs are dying, and somebody has to show up when the people profiting from their destruction never will. The hoax isn’t climate change. The hoax is that they care. Billionaires fill their pockets. Corrupted governments protect them. And the people who speak out get called extremists while those causing g*nocide and ecocide face zero accountability. We live in a world that criminalizes conscience and rewards destruction. I’ve been feeling overwhelmed. Like so many of us who are actually paying attention. Watching people lose their families. Watching others live in fear for speaking out. Watching g*nocides unfold. And while all of this happens, we keep choosing the same people in different suits, people who exploit our planet, push it toward collapse, and drive species to extinction for profit. Educate yourself. Raise awareness. Understand who benefits from your silence. And don’t stay silent, because future generations will ask what you did when you knew and they will have to pay the price. Silence only protects the oppressor. Just do something.

The Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument was created in 2016 to protect nearly 5,000 square miles of ocean about 130 miles southeast of Cape Cod a biodiversity hotspot of deep-sea canyons, underwater mountains, whales, dolphins, sea turtles, and ancient coral ecosystems. On February 6, 2026, the Trump administration lifted the ban on commercial fishing within the monument. Scientists and conservation groups warn this could cause irreversible damage to some of the ocean’s most fragile habitats. But this isn’t just about policy, it’s about us. Our overconsumption fuels the industries threatening these waters. Cutting out unsustainable seafood, fish oil, and krill-based products matters. So does supporting ecotourism that benefits local communities, and simply raising awareness. Educate yourself, watch Seaspiracy. And vote for leaders who prioritize the well-being of people and the planet over temporary profit. The ocean doesn’t have a voice. We do.🌊

We are living in real Hunger Games, can't you see it? People who caused climate warming, g*nocides, stripped away human rights, contributed to wildlife decline, for what eternal economic profit? For a fancy party full of millionaires? Can you imagine how much money could have been used for restoration, the creation of national parks, and education? Ecosystems are collapsing, species are vanishing, and all for human profit. Will we ever have enough? Celebrities with massive influence have done little to protect our planet. Yet people who are actually fighting for the Earth, like scientists, rangers, activists, and creators, are struggling. I’m on the path to becoming a marine biologist and wildlife conservationist, and while I know I still have a long way to go, I’ve contributed to coral reef restoration in Indonesia because corals are vanishing fast, and they’re critical to marine life and even our own survival. I’ve worked on sea turtle conservation in Costa Rica, helping protect and increase the population of endangered turtles. I pick up plastic whenever I can. It may not be much, but it’s something, and I will never stop fighting for this planet. Real heroes are out there, like David Attenborough, nearly 100 and still documenting the state of our Earth. Sylvia Earle. Jane Goodall. People like Aurora, and countless individuals who dedicate their lives to nature as park rangers, travellers, scientists, conservationists, and everyday people who take action wherever they are. Celebrities are doing better, like Jason Momoa, Billie Eilish, and Coldplay, but they are an exception. It’s up to you who you glorify. Choose those who fight for the future of other generations Every action matters, sustainable living, reducing meat and seafood consumption, voting for greener alternatives, educating yourself and others, cutting plastic, conserving water and energy, supporting conservation efforts and actually appreciating and reconnecting with nature. You have more power than you think. #gala2026 #ocean #climatechange #earth #nature

I know I haven’t been very active lately because I needed a break from social media, and just be fully present during my travels and conservation projects, but I’m soon catching up and can’t wait to share with you all the new things I’ve been up to! However, I still appreciate all the support, and I’m trying to answer all the messages daily and engage with you. Currently, I’m organising two conservation trips and one diving trip in the Maldives, so I can’t wait for you to be part of this incredible journey!🦈 Without all of you, this wouldn’t have been even possible a few months ago, so thank you for inspiring more of you and showing the importance and beauty of this beautiful blue planet💙 You're the showcase that there are still people out there who care and that there is nothing like caring too much, because there is no us without the ocean 🌊

It’s not just about pretty videos and pictures of corals, it’s about our responsibility as tourists. This is what unethical tourism looks like. Something that seems cheap or affordable often comes at a much higher cost, one that nature pays for. Coral reefs are already seriously threatened by climate change and rising ocean temperatures, yet we still watch them being destroyed in the name of tourism and sustainable fishing. Dropping anchors directly on reefs can severely damage coral structures, and it can take decades for them to recover, if they recover at all. Coral reefs are not just pretty underwater landscapes. They are vital marine ecosystems that sustain millions of animals and people. They produce oxygen, absorb CO₂, and provide habitat for countless species, making them one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth. If this ecosystem falls, we fall with it🪸 What can you do? 🌊 Educate yourself. 🤿 Join real eco-diving trips that don’t exploit or harm marine life. 🪸Support coral restoration projects. 🚫 Eliminate commercially processed seafood. 🧴Use coral reef friendly sunscreen (link in my bio) 📚 Watch documentaries like @seaspiracy and learn the truth behind the industries. Sometimes, local communities don’t fully understand the importance of the marine ecosystem. They’re trying to sustain their families and often lack access to education. We can’t directly blame them, but we can do better. Educate ourselves, local communities, raise awareness, speak up and make a difference. Do your research. Travel responsibly. And always leave the place better than you found it. 🌍 VIDEO SOURCE 📷: @alosobak

“Shark-infested waters.” One of the media’s favorite scare lines, but where else are sharks supposed to live when we enter their environment? Sharks aren’t monsters, they’re misunderstood. In 2025, there were just 11 fatal shark incidents worldwide, most caused by a lack of education, poor conditions, or critical mistakes when entering the ocean with an apex predator. Meanwhile, we kill over 100 million sharks every single year, mostly for their fins, or as bycatch in industrial fishing. Entire populations are collapsing. So who is the real “monster”? Today, we actually have tools like @sharkbanz , used by surfers and divers, that help reduce unwanted encounters. Education and awareness save lives, panic and fear do the opposite. Here’s what we need to remember: Sharks are essential. They’re apex predators that keep the ocean healthy and balanced. They remove the weak and the sick, strengthening fish populations and preventing reef collapse. Without sharks, the entire food chain breaks, starting with coral reefs, ending with us. Sharks have survived five mass extinctions. They’re older than dinosaurs. Older than trees. With over 500 species — from whale sharks to lanternsharks, they are some of the most remarkable animals on Earth. But they’re disappearing. Not because they’re dangerous. Because we are. It’s time to do better. Support eco-tourism that protects sharks. Don’t support shark finning or eat shark meat. Educate others. Spread facts, not fear. Use your voice, because sharks don’t have one. Sharks have been here long before us. Let’s make sure they’re here long after us, too. No sharks = no healthy ocean. No healthy ocean = no us.

World Wildlife Day is a reminder of what we are protecting and fighting for. The beauty of the planet we share, and what is at stake in our actions. My hero, David Attenborough, is right: children need to understand what is at stake and what the outcome will be; therefore, environmental education is more important than ever. He is an inspiration, not a celebrites or majority of influencers. We want people who want a habitable planet, fresh air and clean water for people and wildlife. Happy wildlife biology day, and don’t forget to care more about her🌏

People who hate sharks are real losers. Without knowledge and experience, I see people demonising these majestic animals and practising things like shark fishing or culling, which is entirely wrong, as we know how important these animals are because they are apex predators evolving for millions of years, yet struggling because we kill hundreds of millions of them. But in the news, they are still viewed as monsters. Please be better. Educate yourself, enter the water when environmental conditions are favourable, and wear technology like @sharkbanz when surfing to protect you and the animal. And the most important thing you can do, I’m here seeing one of the most significant tiger shark populations in the world here in the Maldives with the @fuvahmulahcentraldivecenter._ , so definitely check it out and hopefully will organise group trips here soon 🦈

And the most important thing you can do, I’m here seeing one of the most significant tiger shark populations in the world here in the Maldives with the @fuvahmulahcentraldivecenter._ , so definitely check it out and hopefully will organise group trips here soon 🦈
I had to hop on this trend… Every time I feel down or overwhelmed, I know it’s time to return to the ocean and explore these beautiful reefs, full of life, which bring me so much hope and joy. However, reefs like this are unfortunately disappearing due to our actions, negligence, and ignorance. Coral reefs are fragile underwater ecosystems that cover a small fraction of our planet, but their ecological importance is immense. We carry a huge responsibility when visiting these places by supporting ethical tourism, which doesn’t use anchors or allow you to touch marine life, etc. However, it also comes with the responsibility to maintain your buoyancy, avoiding commercially processed seafood and using non-toxic sunscreen (link in my bio). We have one beautiful planet, so let’s take care of it!

Steve Irwin was right. Today he would have turned 64, and I can only imagine how heartbroken he’d be watching what’s happening to our planet, our Mother Nature. We forgot the most basic truth he tried to teach us: we are part of nature, not separate from it. Every species lost, every habitat destroyed, affects us all. Yet one person can make a difference. He proved it and inspired many of us and many that will come to this planet, I have no doubts about that🤌🏻 So follow your passion and care more about this beautiful planet, that we are so privileged to call home🌏 Thank you and Happy birthday, Steve!🐊

All I want for Christmas is a healthy ocean. Our Earth is over 70% water. It produces two-thirds of the oxygen and stores more carbon than any other rainforest on Earth, and is the most significant ally in tackling climate change, providing habitat for millions of creatures that are important for our own survival. During the Christmas season, when we spend time with family and friends surrounded by loved ones, we tend to overconsume, which has a devastating impact on our planet. For this Christmas, please eliminate commercially processed seafood, because non-targeted individuals such as turtles, whales and sharks are caught in these nets, which wipe out entire populations Plastic consumption, especially during Christmas Eve, is downright horrible. We don’t always need new decorations, new clothes for every occasion, and things we will never use again and will be discarded. Please reuse/ recycle and reduce. Use more ecologically friendly substances, such as cosmetics that don’t contain ingredients derived from seafood (e.g., krill, sharks), which can also harm keystone species. Additionally, sunscreens that don’t contribute to coral bleaching (reef-friendly) are mentioned in my bio. I have a link, and you can use my code SPFWITHADAM 10. Support conservation projects or participate in those that focus on conservation and ethical tourism, avoiding those that exploit wildlife for profit. We have one ocean, and without it, there is no future.

People always ask me if I’m scared of sharks when I dive… but that’s literally the point. Thousands of people travel across the world to see them alive in their natural habitat, because an alive shark has far more value than a de*d one. Yet we k*ll hundreds of millions every year through shark finning and bycatch, often just for 2% of their body as soup. Sharks are vital for healthy oceans. Yes, attacks make people scared, but they are extremely rare — and divers can even use protective gear like @sharkbanz if they’re worried. The best thing you can do is change your perspective: dive with them, educate yourself, watch documentaries, join shark conservation projects and eliminate seafood consumption to help stop the bycatch crisis. Sharks aren’t monsters, they’re guardians of the ocean🌊🦈
