Let me take you out, bet we could have some fun at this Vietnamese coffee & tea pop-up! 🇻🇳☕️🍵🫶

Thức Cafe @thuc.cafe is ran by 4 owners: Ngọc, Ân, Sandy & Thiện. Thức Cafe was started in 2020 (originally called Trà Sữa 11), as a passion project for Ngọc and Ân. 💕 Ngọc is inspired to share Vietnamese flavors that she grew up with through drinks and eventually hopes to open a storefront! 🥹🫶 Ân helps with the technology and customer service while helping Ngọc get closer to her dreams!

In 2024, Sandy and Thiện joined the team and added their own skills to the business — Sandy handles the social media and marketing, while Thiện handles the finances and logistics. As a team, their goals are to create community, support other local businesses/events through pop-ups and share Vietnamese flavor and culture! 🩷

‼️ Thức Cafe currently operates as a pop-up at various businesses and events, pick-up and sometimes as a home cafe!

During this visit, I got to try their Vietnamese milk tea, strawberry matcha & flan! The Vietnamese milk tea was strong and creamy, definitely my favorite of the drinks I tried! 🤩 The strawberry matcha had fresh puree and strong jasmine notes for anyone who loves floral drinks! 🍓🍵 The flan was soft and I loved the creama and coffee paired with it. 🍮

Some other drinks I really love are their jasmine oolong, thai green tea & marble hazelnut!! 💞 So keep your eyes out for when those drinks are on the menu 👀

Be sure to check out their future pop-ups to try their delicious drinks!

My favorite combo is their garlic bean paste & garlic soy sauce mixed together!! 💖

In case you’re wondering, Mako Matcha Mill @makomatchamill is worth the hype 🍵👀

This is Portland’s newest matcha cafe located in DT/Pearl District serving 12oz $4 matcha lattes & $3 matcha americanos! 🫶

I’ve been wanting to try, but there have been some crazy lines on the weekend! I went on a weekday afternoon; there was no line to pay and about a 20 min wait for the actual drink. 🍵 I heard that people waited 1.5 hours on the weekend, so going during the week is the move 😌

The drinks are hand whisked, which is always a plus. I believe they’re using matcha from Japan, but will eventually use matcha milled in store from a farm in Oregon!! 🥹 During my visit I got a 12oz jasmine matcha latte with jasmine cheese cold foam for $5.50. I prefer my matcha on the strong side & not too sweet, so their ratio was perfectttt. The matcha was strong, smooth and not bitter. 🤗 I loved the cheese foam but wish there was a little more 🥺

The staff & atmosphere was lovely as well. I saw people studying so I will definitely be back to try more drinks and hang out!! 🥰 Congrats to the owners on their successful soft opening!! 🥳

Mid-Autumn Moon Festival 🌙 with @whitelotusmarket @thewhitelotusfoundation !! 💖

This past weekend I finally got to visit the White Lotus Market at the Shun Fat Supermarket on 82nd!! 🤍 I was so glad my friends organized this and it was a nice way to get out and enjoy the October sunshine! ☀️

The White Lotus Market is a unique pop-up event that features Asian-owned businesses, entrepreneurs & creative marketers in Portland. 💖 This past summer, they hosted several markets, but the Mid-Autumn Festival is one of their largest!! 🏮

Getting to go with friends meant good food & even better company! 🥹

Here’s what we tried and my thoughts:
✨ Ngot PDX @ngotpdx - Perfect not too sweet cake bursting with flavor!! It was on my radar to try and I am so glad I did. We got their Guava Matcha Tiramisu (OUR FAV!!!), Ube Tiramisu, Pandan Coconut Tiramisu & Longan Oolong Jasmine Chiffon Cake
✨ Fire Foods @firefoodsmolalla - Their garlic parmesan fries were super crispy and had a nice garlic flavor.
✨ Tea Talk @teatalk_pdx - Jasmine Oolong Milk Tea & Jasmine Butterfly Pea Milk Tea. The jasmine oolong milk tea was so floral and perfectly creamy!! The boba was also cooked nicely. Will be going back! 🧋
✨ Thip Khao @thipkhaopdx - I think this might have been my first time trying Lao street food and 10/10!!! I loved their Papaya Salad, it was sooo spicy 🌶️

I am so excited to go to future White Lotus Market events! What a great way to support local vendors in the Portland area. ❤️

New Menu Items at Koto! ☕️🍵🍞

If @kotojellycoffee has been on your list to try, now is the perfect time to do so with their new menu!! 🤩 Don’t miss out on their LIMITED time Jelly Flight (until 7/20) paired perfectly with their new “Kissaten” Toast Series! 🍞

Their summer limited Jelly Flight is $15 and comes with 3 7oz mini jelly drinks! 💕 They have a variety of drinks to pick from, but I chose:
♡ Jelly Milk + Hojicha Syrup
♡ Jelly Milk + Matcha Syrup
♡ Jelly Coffee + Milk
This is an amazing way to try different drinks off their menu, since normally their 12oz drinks start around $7! 💗 My favorite drink at Koto is by far the jelly milk with hojicha syrup 🥹🫶

Recently, they also introduced the “Kissaten” Toast Series to their menu! All toasts are made in house and there are 3 options:
♡ Yuzu Avocado Toast
♡ Granola Toast
♡ An-Butter Toast

I tried the Yuzu Avocado Toast and it was so refreshing and fresh!! 🥑 The flavor was super unique and I liked the citrus of the yuzu, paired with the avocado and microgreens. 💖

In addition to enjoying the wonderful drinks and food, I got to chat with Ree & Heywood, 2 of the owners. They are so lovely and have always supported me in my own endeavors on this page and in PA school. 🥹🩷 Thank you both for having me come to say “goodbye” for now. 🥺

Be sure to check Koto out and follow their instagram to stay tuned for new items, collaborations and events! 🩷 @kotojellycoffee

Delicious & affordable Korean-Chinese fusion food in Bellevue! 🩷🥢

Paik’s Noodle started as a location in Seoul in 2006 and the franchise has since expanded globally! 🌎 It was founded by Chef Paik, who wanted to bring authentic, comfort Korean-Chinese dishes to the table. They’re best known for their Jajangmyeon, which is a Korean-Chinese noodle dish with a rich black bean sauce. 🍜 This spot has been on my list to try for a while, and I was super excited to visit! 🩷

They had a large menu with different noodle, rice and meat entrees (pork, chicken, shrimp)! There was also a lot of alcohol selection!! 🍻 For everything we got, it came out to around $75, which I felt was very reasonable for the portion and quality, especially in the Seattle/Bellevue area 🙂‍↕️

We got to try their:
✧ Jajangmyeon ($10.95)
✧ Jjampong ($13.95) - Spicy noodle soup with pork, seafood & veggies
✧ Sweet & Sour Pork ($15.95) - Fried pork with special sweet & sour sauce
✧ Fried Dumplings (8 pc for $8.49) - Minced pork and veggie mandus
✧ Chicken Wings: Sweet and Spicy + Garlic Soy (5 pc for $9.10)

Our favorites were definitely the Jajangmyeon and Jjampong! 🤩 I love any noodle with a chewy bouncy texture so these were perfecttt 🤤 The black bean sauce was rich and savory, but not too sweet which I appreciated. 🥹 I really enjoyed how flavorful the jjampong broth was and the bits of squid inside!! 🫶

The appetizers were pretty good too, but I would definitely say the noodle entrees are the most standout and what I’d come back for. 🙂‍↕️

I would recommend stopping by if you’re craving some cheap comfort eats! 🫶

Trying out the famous @kensartisan pizzeria in Portland! 🍕💖

Coming to Portland, I never knew that they had such a big pizza scene here!! 😳 Ken’s Artisan Pizza has been open since 2006 and they’ve won numerous awards, including being crowded as one of the top pizza spots in the country!! 🏆 This spot is very well loved by my wonderful friend, so I am happy we got to celebrate her birthday here at one of her favorite spots 🥹

Ken’s serve fresh, wood-fired oven pizzas made with quality ingredients ✨ They often have a wait even on the weekdays, and it’s so busy that takeouts can only be placed in person.

We all got our own pizzas and one to share. Each pizza ranged from $21 to $26 and was personally enough for leftovers! ☺️ Here’s what we got:
🍕 Peach Pizza: corn crema, charred peaches, capicola, garlic fontal, ricotta, basil, Grana Padano
🍕 Mushroom Pizza w/Burrata: mushrooms, mozzarella, fontina, pecorino, garlic, thyme, lemon oil with add on burrata
🍕 Prosciutto Pizza: tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil, Greci & Folzani 24 month Black Label Prosciutto di Parma
🍕Soppresata: tomato sauce, mozzarella, spicy Calabrese salami, basil

The dough/crust was INCREDIBLE! It was perfectly thick, crispy with a fluffy bread texture. 🤤 I got the Proscuitto and we shared the peach. The peach was by far my favorite!! 🍑 I’ve never had peaches on pizza but it was so fresh and paired perfect with the savory flavors of the other toppings. 😍 I can’t wait to come back again. Cheers to more pizza girl nights and continuing to explore the PDX food scene 🥹♥️ Happy Friday! 🥳

Happy Sundayy ✨ I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and is enjoying the sunshine! Sharing one last reel in my Savoring Seattle series since PA school is about to start !! 🥹🫨 Time has flown by, and it was so nice to see/reconnect with people I love in the Seattle before starting in the PDX! 🫶

In May, I got to try @phnompenhnoodlehouse with Jenny @jennayylim and get @heytea_seattle afterwards 🥰🤩 It was my first time trying Khmer/Cambodian food & I was so happy to support a local @cidseattle business! 💖

I got to meet Jenny last year around August — I always admired her content and her grind to support and highlight her passions and local businesses! 😊💕 We ran into each other IRL at the CID event last year, then hung out and have been friends ever since. I appreciate her so much and have cherished how our friendship has grown in the last year!! 💗 Jenny has also introduced me to a handful of spots that I now love & some others in the food community who are as amazing as her! 🥺

As one of our “last” outings - I requested that we try Khmer/Cambodian food since I’ve never tried before and wanted to taste her comfort food. We got to visit Phnom Penh, a family run restaurant in CID established in 1987. Everything was so good and flavorful, but my favorite was probably the prahut jien! 🤍

Even though we were stuffed, we had to make room for Hey Tea and try their SLU location! The drinks were so refreshing and hit the spot. 🧋

Thank you Jenny for taking me to try Phnom Penh!! 💕💕 Can’t wait for you to visit Portland and to show you the spots I’ve found around here later on. 🥰

🫶 In May, I got to try @phnompenhnoodlehouse with Jenny @jennayylim and get @heytea_seattle afterwards 🥰🤩 It was my first time trying Khmer/Cambodian food & I was so happy to support a local @cidseattle business! 💖 I got to meet Jenny last year around August — I always admired her content and her grind to support and highlight her passions and local businesses! 🥺 As one of our “last” outings - I requested that we try Khmer/Cambodian food since I’ve never tried before and wanted to taste her comfort food. Happy Friday! 🥂🩷 Treat yourself to dinner and drinks at @friendshipkitchen.sgnsin in NW Portland!

Friendship Kitchen 2: Saigon 2 Singapore is a female-owned establishment by wives, Trang & Wei-En. 🫶 This is the sister restaurant of Friendship Kitchen on NE Gilman, which Trang opened in 2021. Friendship Kitchen 2 is a combination of their cultures and cuisines. Trang serves her Vietnamese dishes that she loves, alongside Wei-En’s mom’s Singaporean recipes. 🇻🇳🇸🇬

Trang reached out to me to come in, and I was super excited to support and try this spot! 🫶 We ordered a variety of drinks (both NA & alcoholic) — our favorites were the thai tea, made with coconut milk and their NA fruit drinks!! 😮‍💨 We also ordered a few appetizers and enjoyed the coconut prawns the most 🦐 perfectly crisp with good flavor!

My group got to try different entrees, including the Laksa, Bun Bo Hue, Shaken Beef, Crispy Noodle & Abundance Bowl. 🤩Everyone loved their entrees - I got the bun bo hue (Vietnamese spicy beef noodles), which I liked but it was slightly on the sweet side for me. 🍜 The entree that stood out to me the most, was the laksa that my friend ordered. It was warm, comforting and had a deep seafood and coconut flavor. 🤤

The vibes were so cute - lots of seating and the staff was super friendly! 🩷 Overall, I enjoyed my visit and look forward to coming back for the laksa and drinks 🫶

Thank you so much to Friendship Kitchen for inviting me 💌 #invited & for my wonderful friends for coming with to destress! 💞

After 4 years of living in Seattle, I finally got to visit @thepinkdoorrestaurant and check it off my food bucket list 🥹💗 It’s one of Seattle’s most famous Italian restaurants, nestled in Post Alley at Pike Place. Before it became a restaurant, The Pink Door used to be a violin shop! 🎻

The Pink Door offers both reservations and walk-ins, but sometimes the waitlist will be closed during peak hours/demand. On the website, it says you can call the restaurant to inquire about wait times if you don’t have a reservation. 📞 In our experience, lunch time had a lot of open reservation spots, but dinner is booked out further in advance ☺️ We went in for lunch and enjoyed our experience! ❤️

During our visit, we started with the bruschetta and we were blown away by the freshness and sweetness of the heirloom tomatoes 😭🫶 For the main, we got their famous Lasagna - made with fresh spinach pasta layered with besciamella, pesto, topped with marinara sauce. We definitely think the lasagna lived up to the hype, the tomato sauce was so good. 💖

However, our favorite on dish was actually an item on the secret menu - squid ink pasta with a slightly spicy tomato sauce, topped with fresh seafood (mussels, squid, clams, shrimp). 🦐🍝 We’ve been on the hunt for a good squid ink seafood pasta ever since our Greece trip and this was it!! 😭😍 The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the seafood was fresh and not overcooked. The shrimp and mussels were so sweet!! 🙂‍↕️

We ended with the apple pie, which was also delicious and not too sweet! 🥧

Overall, my first time at The Pink Door was wonderful 🥹 and we will be going back for special occasions or a fancier date night. I thought that the prices were comparable to other nice Italian spots in Seattle/Bellevue, but much better quality and taste! 😅

Want to know where you can find fresh, soft & not too sweet cinnamon rolls? 💖

This is Seattle’s newest small-batch cinnamon roll pop-up called Rolled Flour @rolledflour started by Angela, a current UW student. 💜💛 Rolled Flour was started out of her apartment kitchen as a way to combine her passions for entrepreneurship and baking cinnamon rolls. 💗 She started baking rolls for her friends, but soon turned into her trying to perfect her recipe to eventually share with the Seattle community! ☺️ Her cinnamon roll dough is raised over 48 hours and made with no preservatives or additives!

She currently operates as a pre-order pickup in University District through small drops on her website rolledflour.com. 💻 However she plans to eventually do pop-ups in the future, so stay tuned on her Instagram! 🥳 Her flavors also rotate every 2 weeks!

Over the last year, I’ve grown to love cinnamon rolls so I was super excited to try her rolls and support Angela as she pursues her passions. 🥰

We got to try her current flavors, which were:
♡ Banana Pudding
♡ Passion Fruit Parfait
♡ Earl Grey Lavender
♡ Salted Caramel Cheesecake

The rolls were so good!! 😭💕 They were soft, pillowy and fluffy and not too sweet. I really loved the flavors she had this week — our favorites were the passion fruit parfait which had a fresh puree & the earl grey lavender for the floral notes. ❤️

I am super excited to continue along her journey and see what she does next! ☺️ These cinnamon rolls are definitely worth the try, so be sure to stay tuned on her page @rolledflour for the next drop! 🫶

Thank you Angela for sharing your rolls with me, it was so nice to meet you! 💌 #hosted

Happy hour with beautiful waterfront views at AQUA by El Guacho @aquabyelgaucho 🥂✨💕

AQUA by El Guacho features Seattle’s finest waterfront dining with views of Elliot Bay, the Olympic Mountains, Mt Rainier and the Space Needle. Their menu is inspired by the Puget Sound, featuring fresh daily selections of fish and 28-day dry-aged angus beef steaks. 🤤

We were invited to enjoy their menu and happy hour (Tues–Fri, 5–6:30pm) and had such a great experience. The views, food, and service were amazing!! 🥳

From the happy hour menu, the steak frites stood out (that parsley butter 😍), plus the $12 specialty cocktails (not featured in the video). From the main menu, the scallops were incredibly fresh, and the Alaskan king crab was sweet and perfectly pre-cracked for easy eating. 🦀 We were recommended the corn & brussels sprouts, which were also super flavorful. 😍

After dinner, we enjoyed views from their deck (which they will be turning into an outdoor dining space 👀) and walked nearby to Olympic Sculpture Park for sunset! 🥰

It was a wonderful date night and we look forward to returning for HH & special events in the future! 💖

Thank you so much to the AQUA by El Guacho team for having us! 💌 #hosted

Visiting @aroom_coffee ‘s newest location on the Seattle Waterfront ⋆˚౨ৎ ⋆.˚

Aroom Coffee is a Vietnamese coffee specialty cafe that started out with their first location in Fremont. ☕️ They’ve been our go-to spot for Vietnamese coffee, so we were very excited to have one closer to us! 💖

The interior was beautiful! This location is much bigger, with more seating. It’s the perfect cafe to catch up with friends or to get work/school done 🥹 We went at the end of my winter break to write out our 2026 goals and it was lovely 🫶

Our favorites are the black sesame coffee and salty coffee. 💕 Their foams are delicious and the Vietnamese coffee isn’t overly strong for my liking. 😊

In addition to yummy drinks, this location has food and I am excited to try it out in the future! 😋

They are also located right by the ferry terminal, so I am excited for sunny seattle days where I can grab my favorite drink and take the ferry 🫶

You need to add Portland’s first Thai specialty coffee shop to your must-visit list 🇹🇭☕️💗

Kaleido, located in NW Portland’s Slabtown, serves Thai-inspired coffee and matcha drinks that are as unique as they are delicious. They opened about 7 months ago and are owned by the sweetest duo, Kayla and PJ — who I had the pleasure of meeting during my visit! ☺️ Their goal is to transport customers to Thailand’s vibrant cafe scene through creative drinks and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. 🫶

I’ve been to Kaleido a few times now, and it’s become one of my favorite spots to study or grab a drink. They have big tables, plenty of outlets, and they’re right next to New Seasons!

This visit, I tried a mix of current favorites and new menu items:
♡ Signature Dirty Latte — espresso poured over cold milk
♡ Thai-Style Banana Cake
♡ Hot Taro Latte — made with fresh taro paste
♡ Clear Matcha — a trending drink in Thailand made with mineral water + matcha
♡ Thai Tea
♡ Black Sesame Matcha Latte

My favorites were the signature dirty latte, Thai-style banana cake, and black sesame matcha latte! The latte was bold and flavorful (their arabica beans are roasted in Thailand!), the banana cake was perfectly moist and not too sweet, and the black sesame matcha had an incredible balance of flavor.

If you’re looking for a new coffee shop to try or a cute WFH spot in Portland, I highly recommend checking out Kaleido 💖 Amazing drinks + the loveliest owners.

No need to catch flights home to enjoy some In-N-Out ✈️🍔🤣

The first Washington In-N-Out opened in Ridgefield and is the perfect stop on the way from Seattle to Portland 🤩 Growing up in California, In-N-Out has always been one of my favorite inexpensive fast food options. So I am so excited to have one closer to me! 🥳

We stopped here on a Saturday, driving back to Portland after fall break in Seattle 🚗 The drive through was super busy, but it seemed well controlled/directed. We opted to eat inside, which had a shorter wait. The workers were super friendly!

We waited outside for around 10 minutes and then it took us around another 10 minutes to place our order. After ordering, we waited another 20 minutes before our food was ready. 🫨 Our total wait time was 40 minutes 😱 which was honestly not too bad considering it was a Saturday! 🫣

My go-to order is a cheeseburger with raw onions and banana peppers on the side😋 It was well worth the wait!! 😆

Have you been to the new In-N-Out location? 🍔

Quick trip down to Seattle to finally try Sushi Kaunta in Kent for Valentine’s Day! 💖🍣

Sushi Kaunta @sushi_kaunta has been on our list to try forever and is highly recommended by everyone who stops in! 🥹 It’s a one-man operation by Chef Sean, who carefully curates each dish on the menu. Reservations are made in advance with staggered times and pre-orders to ensure he has enough time to prep and take care of each customer!

We got the miso soup, 14 piece chef’s choice nigiri & scallop nigiri. 🫶 The miso soup was so flavorful & made fresh to order! Chef Sean explains all of the fish to you and where each comes from. Overall, all of the fish were such great quality and very buttery! 🤤 I think we only had one fish that was not our favorite and we personally prefer our sushi rice with slightly less vinegar. The tuna, sea bream, unagi and scallops were standouts for us! ♥️

The restaurant was very cute and cozy, and we had a wonderful time! We look forward to visiting again & trying their beautiful kaisendons! 😊 Be sure to check out Sushi Kaunta for your next sushi craving!! 🥰

Seattle’s favorite hand roll bar got an upgrade ✨🍣 Sugo Hand Roll Bar @sugohandrollbar now has a 14 course omakase for $95 per person! 💗

On Thursdays at 5:45pm and 8pm, experience an intimate omakase experience at Sugo - located right by Pike Place Market. Chef Han pairs fresh, quality fish with flavors from around the world including inspiration from Korea, Thailand, Greece and beyond. 🌏

The chefs were friendly and knowledgeable, explaining each course. We loved trying all the fish and were surprised at how delicious some of the flavor pairings were. 🤩 Our favorites were kampachi, kinki and uni. 🤤 Everything was great, although we wished for some pieces, there was a little less sauce to let the fish shine through.

You can also add a 5 flight sake/wine pairing for $40 🍶 as well as additional sushi after the meal. 💖

Be sure to make a reservation and give this omakase a try for yourself! ☺️
