After many weeks of not moving from under the bathroom vanity, Goldie began to explore. And after one of her first nights exploring I looked all over for her only to find her tucked away in one of Leo’s favorite nap corners. ❤️🩹
It’s so hard because grief is never linear. And no matter how many special beings we lose, it always feels completely new but also always the same. And as much of a gut punch as it felt, it was also calming to find Goldie here - like a little piece of Leo is somehow here. Like Leo is comforting her in a place that’s so confusing for her. 🫶🏼
Dolly is definitely happier with a friend here and Goldie definitely needed a home - but I also have always shared all the sides of me on here and I would be doing us all a disservice if I did show all the sides to pet loss and pet rescue. Love you guys 🤍
