If your account is private, Instagram will not show your Reels to non-followers. Period. Also make sure Allow public photos and videos to appear in search engine results is ON. This helps external discovery and overall visibility. Step 2 – Content Preferences Go to: Settings & Activity → Content Preferences Make sure you haven’t: Snoozed suggested posts Overused “Not Interested” on similar content These settings train the algorithm on what not to push. Step 3 – Translate Reel When posting a Reel, make sure Translate Reel is ON. Select multiple languages (Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, English). This allows Instagram to distribute your content globally. Step 4 – Account Status (Most Important) Go to: Settings & Activity → Account Status Everything should be green: Removed content Limits to your reach Features you can’t use Monetization If anything is flagged here, Instagram will silently suppress your distribution. Step 5 – Comments Go to: Settings & Activity → Comments Make sure: Posts and Reels = Everyone Allow GIF comments = ON More comments = stronger distribution signals. Step 6 – Sharing and Reuse Go to: Settings & Activity → Sharing and Reuse Turn ON: Allow people to share your posts and reels Posts and reels to stories Reposts on posts and reels Allow people to create with and reuse your content If people can’t share or remix your content, the algorithm has fewer ways to spread it. The truth: Instagram doesn’t just rank content. It first checks whether your account is even eligible to be pushed. Most creators aren’t shadowbanned. They’re just blocked by settings they never knew existed. That structure is exactly how high-performing educational + CTA captions are written: CTA first (for conversions)
