Châteauroux… A perfect, pure, boulevard city sprint. Emotional to me as the place of my first ever @letourdefrance win in 2008. Proud to have won each time we’ve returned in 2011 and 2021. Now truly humbled that it’s also Cavendish City. I hope it’s a place as special for whoever wins there this year!

Had the most amazing day yesterday renaming the very circuit that I started racing on 30 years ago.
Since before I was even riding a bike, to the present day, the bike track at the Isle of Man’s National Sports Centre has been the place that literally thousands of Manx kids have found the same love for a bicycle and the same passion for racing that I did.
It’s only fitting that we had some gritty Manx weather, but for so many people to turn out and so many bikes being ridden is truly humbling and heart-warming.
So proud of my beautiful little island and it’s love and facilities for sport and it’s beyond an honour to know that there’ll be more cycling dreams started at the Sir Mark Cavendish Raceway.
