Thoughts on Tom Ford fragrances? My relationship with the brand has changed over the years. It was *the* brand that first got me truly excited about scent. Wearing Tobacco Vanille in 2011 opened a whole new world to me. This was a brand that completely changed how we view and experience designer fragrances. Beautiful, creative scents that perfectly balanced style and substance.
These days, I’m feeling a little disenchanted by the brand. It feels like a conveyor belt of marketing-first fragrances with a focus on creating viral hits rather than timeless classics.

I received Olfactory Series 1 back in May and have absolutely loved experiencing the range. From the hyper-realistic, zesty freshness of Leaf to the smoky, spicy depth of Smoke, each fragrance is built on three natural ingredients. What makes them different is the use of aldehydes - sparkling molecules that give the fragrances texture, lift, and dimension. They make the natural notes feel sharper, brighter and more alive.
The bottles are artworks in themselves - each bottle has an organic, non-symmetrical shape, a unique glass repartition and a bell-shaped white aluminium cap. Minimal in look, but each scent is intricately crafted, full of depth and storytelling.
