Loving this trend but also this goes deep so buckle up. Behind all these pictures is a girl who was silently battling bulimia and trying to be accepted in the modelling industry. I was miserable - even in the smiling photos I’m deep down riddled with sadness. I thought being smaller would make me more worthy. More bookable. More lovable. I was chasing approval from an industry that never felt satisfied, while completely abandoning the girl in the mirror. Now? I appreciate my body for what it does, not just how it looks. I nourish it. I move it because I can. I speak to it kindly. I forgive it. And most importantly - love it. Motherhood also gave me perspective. Not only has my body created three miracles, but I look at my children and realise I never want them to measure their worth by a number on a scale. I don’t want my daughter believing her value lies in being small. I don’t want my sons thinking women exist to fit into boxes. Happiness didn’t come from being thinner. It came from being free. If you’re struggling quietly, please know you are not alone. There is life beyond the battle. There is joy beyond the mirror. And there is a version of you who feels at peace in her own skin.
