Not all heroes wear capes... some wear skates. 🏒🚓🚒 What an incredible day for community, charity, and Canadian spirit! On October 2nd, we hosted the inaugural @heroes_on_ice_classic Rivalry Hockey Match at Sixteen Mile Creek Arena (Oakville, ON) celebrating our heroes — firefighters and police officers — in support of @food4kidshalton and the results exceeded all expectations: 🔥 Over 1,200 attendees 💰 $15,000+ raised to fight child hunger 🏒 10,000+ hockey cards given away to thrilled fans 🖍️ Countless memories made The atmosphere was electric, the competition was fierce (but friendly), and most importantly, the message was clear: when communities come together, amazing things happen. Thank you to all the schools who attended cheering from the stands, our generous sponsors & donors, volunteers, and @townofoakville for hosting us. Every dollar we raised went directly toward providing nutritious food packages for children in the community who need it most. Special thanks to the firefighters and police officers who taught in the educational booths or traded in their uniforms for jerseys and delivered a game to remember. #CommunityStrong #CharityEvent #HockeyForACause #Food4KidsHalton #HeroesOnIceClassic #GivingBack #Teamwork #PoliceVsFire
