The korea glow up but men’s version. The skinny jeans had to go. 10 years was long enough. I flew my husband to Korea for the ultimate glow-up: full body measurements at @colorlab_official (they measure EVERY bone to find your perfect style), a complete wardrobe overhaul, and the one hair stylist I’ve been saving for years. High-waisted straight pants, sleek loafers, softer layers—basically everything he’s been avoiding. Style consultation by @colorlab_dahyun Hair by @influer_woo Was it worth throwing away his favorite jeans in secret? Watch till the end. 변우석 사랑해요 💀

3,000 bottles. One hour. Zero ad spend. As the founder of @kravebeauty my biggest regret was not joining @tiktokshop sooner. Here’s the 3-step framework that completely transformed our business: ✨Step 1: Start with a product that solves a real problem (Oil La La for breakout-prone skin delivered results people wanted to share) ✨Step 2: Put it on TikTok Shop (people discover + buy seamlessly in one place) ✨Step 3: Post consistently (our in-house content went viral organically, multiple times) The holiday season is approaching, and it’s the BEST time for small businesses to join and acquire new customers. So if you’re a founder, entrepreneur, or small biz owner wondering if TikTok Shop is worth it, this is your sign. Don’t make my mistake. We originally made Lip Barrier Relief as a small one-time release to thank YOU for being part of our community, but you kept asking for it to come back, so we remade it, with a new intention. We’re sharing how we built this Lip Barrier Relief differently, diving into how its barrier-first lip care supports your lips instead of sitting on top and why we chose to upcycle discarded almond shells and hulls to help your protect lips from dry conditions. Comment LBR and I’ll send you the link to this🔗 This is Chapter 1: Almond Shells & Husks🌰🌾 The first of many chapters. Lip Barrier Relief was made for only a limited run, and 50% of profits go to @farmlinkproject, because caring shouldn’t stop at skin💚 #wastenotthefarm #lipbarrierrelief

There are businesses that are built to sell, versus built to last. Neither path is right or wrong. What’s wrong is only spotlighting the companies getting huge funding and getting acquired in the news constantly creating the notion that this is the only way to succeed in business. So I wanted to highlight brands that have stayed private for decades, staying true to their mission with integrity. If you have more examples, let me know in the comments by tagging them! These are by no means ‘small businesses’. They are all doing $250M+ in annual sales and some validated at a billion! 1. @drbronner founded in 1948, family owned. Caps executive pay at 5 times their lowest paid employee. That’s it. No exceptions. Compare that to Estée Lauder, whose CEO made 17.8 million dollars last year alone. 2. @caudalie . founded in 1995 in bordeaux, france, the daughter of a vineyard turned grape seeds into powerful skincare. Still founder run, still family owned, three decades in. 3. @davinesofficial . a sustainable haircare brand from Parma Italy, started in 1983 as a cosmetic manufacturer and the second generation turned it into what we know now. Independently owned for decades, B Corp certified, and pioneering the regenerative agriculture research for the beauty industry. Honorable mentions outside beauty. @bobsredmill. Instead of selling to a conglomerate, the founder gave 100% ownership to his employees. RIP bob. @gtdave3 GT’s Living Foods Kombucha. Turned down offers from two of the biggest food companies in the world because they wanted control of their formulas. Built to last isn’t the safe choice. It’s the harder one.

How much is enough sunscreen? Tldr... MORE THAN WHAT YOU THINK IS ENOUGH! 2 mg/cm² rule is the scientific standard used to test and determine the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) on all sunscreens. Basically saying you should apply exactly 2 milligrams of sunscreen for every square centimeter of skin to achieve the labeled spf. To average head size, this comes down to 1/2 teaspoons worth of sunscreen for face, neck and ears. For your face itself, it’s around 1/4 teaspoon of sunscreen. @capri.corneum recently did an enlightening post about how 2 fingers of #sunscreen might not be enough - a method I religiously used myself too. Every sunscreen has a different viscosity so this may not apply to more fluid or thicker sunscreens than the @KraveBeauty beet the sun* but this is approximately how much I need to apply all over my face, neck, and ears to get the SPF 40. How much sunscreen are you applying? And are you reapplying? *KraveBeauty is my own brand

#FiverrPartner my funemployment summer ended and to-do’s are piling up like no other.. and my skin is literally showing signs already. so when this rrelief pr box from showed up on my doorstep, I was fully in unboxing mode assuming this was some new It brand I’d missed. turns out rrelief isn’t skincare at all. it’s @Fiverr, and tucked inside was $250 in credits to hire an actual expert to take something off my plate!!
And they’re right. the fastest way to look less stressed is to be less stressed. I’ve got a running list of things I could hand off right now (a video editor? content assistant?). So if your plate is as full as mine has been this week, go find your own relief. Visit Fiverr.com to find a freelancer to lighten your workload and follow @fiverr on Instagram for a chance to win some rrelief for yourself!

I thought I had to scrub off my pimples like a dirty dish🥹 Ten years ago, I was selling acne products for one of the biggest beauty companies in the world and still breaking out on my own face. I did everything they told me to do. Harsh cleansers. Drying treatments. Scrubs. I declared war on my own face and called it skincare. What nobody told me was that acne-prone skin is actually starving for linoleic acid—a fatty acid that keeps your barrier healthy and your oil production balanced. And the richest source of it? Oil. The exact thing the industry told us was the enemy. When I figured that out, I felt like I’d been scammed my whole life. So I made Oil La La. A lightweight oil serum that works with your skin instead of against it—because a skin that never heals is a customer that never stops buying, and I refused to be part of that anymore. Oil La La officially launches tomorrow at kravebeauty.com, @amazon, @cultbeauty 🩵💛 Comment OIL and I’ll send you the link to get it early #OilLaLa #KBClassofReset

🍓Nobody wanted the strawberry leaves. The farmers were paying to throw them away 🍃 So @liahyoo flew to Nonsan, South Korea and met the strawberry farmers stuck with fields of leftover leaves and stems after every harvest season. The South Korean government had cracked down on burning. So now disposal was coming out of their pockets. On a bad year, that cost wiped out their profits entirely. She worked with an ingredient house to turn that unwanted farm waste into an antioxidant-rich extract that protects your elastin and collagen. The part everyone was throwing away turned out to be the best part. Then almost three years of trial and error to find packaging that goes back to earth completely. No plastic. No microplastics. Just a home compostable jar that disappears when you‘re done with it. This is @kravebeauty’s Mochi Berrier Moisture Cream. Almost three years in the making. By buying it, you‘re proving to the beauty industry that circular products actually have a market. That people will choose the harder, better option when you give them one. Comment ’strawberry‘ to check it out. 🍓

We’re developing an eye product that doesn’t exist yet, and we need your help to build it. Comment “KELP” below and we’ll send you a 5-minute survey to help shape this product. Here’s what makes this different: we got accepted into @greenwaveorg #KelpCoLab, a program designed to unlock kelp’s potential as a functional ingredient in personal care. We’re one of the first brands working directly with Alaskan kelp farmers and technical experts to co-develop high-performance formulations using regeneratively farmed kelp. Why kelp? Because it locks in moisture without weight, won’t clog pores or cause milia, and actually cleans the ocean while it grows—no fertilizer, no pesticides, just pure hydration for your under-eyes. But here’s the thing: innovation is expensive and time-consuming when you do it alone. That’s why we’re building this in public with YOU from day one. We want to know what frustrates you most about eye products—puffiness? Dark circles? Makeup creasing? Formulas that are too heavy that cause milia? Comment “KELP” below and we’ll send you a 5-minute survey to help shape this product. Then follow along as we show you the entire R&D process, farm visits, formulation trials, and everything in between.

if your acne isn't clearing up, you might need to wash your face less. yes, you heard that right 👀 that tight, squeaky feeling after cleansing? that's not clean. that's your skin barrier getting disrupted. Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser was born to work with your skin, not against it, to add hydration instead of stripping it, so that you don't need to cleanse more 💚 comment MATCHA and we'll send you the link 🍵🔗

I tried 5 K-beauty azelaic acid products so you don’t have to. Comment AA and I’ll send you the full spreadsheet (ratings, ingredients, price per mL, all of it). Azelaic acid is quietly one of the most underrated actives in skincare. It calms redness, fades post-acne marks, and works on almost every skin type, but most people are still stuck picking between the same two or three Western brands because that’s all their algorithm ever shows them. Meanwhile Korean labs have been quietly iterating on azelaic acid formulas for years, pairing it with gentler derivatives that absorb better than the acid alone. So I tested 5 K-beauty azelaic acid serums back to back. Same face, same week, same routine, just swapping the serum: @skin1004official , @tirtir_global , @purito_official @anua_global and @medicube_global_official My favorite surprised me. It wasn’t the one with the flashiest ingredient list, it was the one my skin kept reaching for on its own. Full ratings and breakdown are in the spreadsheet. Comment AA and I’ll DM it to you!

@KraveBeauty’s next product is coming in packaging that microbes will literally eat. Most ‘compostable’ packaging aren’t home compostable but this is! actual decomposition, zero microplastics left behind. We’ve been working with @shellworks_ on #Vivomer, a material that looks and feels exactly like plastic, lasts years on your shelf, but the second it hits soil or ocean, wild bacteria recognize it as food and eat it whole. We all know that beauty packaging is one of the hardest things on earth to recycle. Multi-material, multi-layer, designed to never break down. We wanted our next launch to be different. This is just the beginning. More coming soon. Tag a beauty brand below that should make the switch to Vivomer. #sustainablepackaging #beautypackaging #beautyindustry

Bonjour! I’m officially an apprentice farmer in the countryside of France👩🏻‍🌾 while taking time off work. (i used @wwooffrance and they have a chapter for most countries so check it out if you’d like to do something similar.) the first farm I’m working at is in a little town in #brittany close to the sea. They run a guest house, a farm to table restaurant and distribute the produce for local CSA members, restaurants and sell them at a bio market. Farming is keeping my hands busy and my mind super clear which is something I really needed. Excited to show you the rest of the journey 🐓

There’s a problem in the beauty industry that no one is talking about. Extractive sourcing. Argan oil. Collagen. Sandalwood. The ingredients we’ve been told are “natural” and “clean” are quietly driving deforestation, draining water supplies, and pushing ecosystems to the edge. The beauty industry is taking more from the land than it can replace. So we asked a different question: what if we stopped looking at land entirely? That’s how we ended up on a kelp farm in Juneau, Alaska with @seaquesterfarms and @GreenWaveorg’s #KelpCoLab. And here’s what we found: kelp doesn’t need land, fresh water, fertilizer, or pesticides. It grows up to two feet a day, absorbs more carbon than trees, and rebuilds ocean ecosystems just by existing. The ecosystem thriving underneath those kelp lines? Fish, sea life, crystal-clear water. This isn’t farming that takes from nature. It’s farming that rebuilds it. @KraveBeauty has spent 8 years sourcing from land waste. Grape seeds from wineries, carrots that get discarded. But this time we went further. Drop a 🌊 below and follow along.
