Sacrificing your time to save money is actually costing you money.

When I was in my 20s, I cooked food at home to save money.
I cleaned my house to save money.
I price matched different grocery stores to save money.
I never paid anyone to do anything for me, even though I was in a position to afford it.

What I didn’t realize was everything I did to save money took so much time and energy out of my life.
Cleaning my house took 4 hours.
Preparing meals took 4 hours.
Price-matching and going to different grocery stores took 4 hours.

After seeing all this effort I was going through to save a few dollars, one of my managers told me “Leila, you spend 12 hours a week doing things to save money. If you took those 12 hours to close 3 more sales? You can pay people to do the rest of the work that is taking you 12 hours.”

When I listened to his advice and put all of my attention into making more money instead of saving pennies, I was able to buy back my time and make more money while doing it.

You can always make more money but you can’t make more time. Wealthy people understand this. They hire assistants, meal prep services, and housekeepers — not because they’re lazy, but because they understand that their time is worth more.

The greatest hits of 2025: when your employee comes back blonde…

My team filmed this video at 4AM during one of the final mornings leading up to the $100M Money Models book launch. They were all waiting at the office to surprise Alex. The blonde wig was an extra prop from the Green Men videos.

Most people think resilience means never breaking.

It doesn’t.

Resilience is how fast you get back to baseline after you break.

Everyone falls.

High performers just reset faster.

PS: I had the flu in this video if you’re wondering about the kleenex 🤣

Do CEOs cry? Of course.

I don’t cry a lot, but I don’t hide it. It’s a good reminder that I’m human.

Never underestimate the power of waking up early and knocking out your highest priority tasks.

The question is not what you feel like doing today, but what will bring you closer to what you want tomorrow.

My #1 priority as CEO is to paint the vision for the future and everyday pull that future into the present with all my strength.

A question I ask myself: “How can I pull the future into the present, faster?”

I've seen people fall into two camps:
1) People are smarter than their boss so they actually do something about it.
2) Other times they are actually not smarter and they are just arrogant.

It's a matter of asking yourself "Do they have more perspective?"

If they do "Maybe I should try and learn."
