I have been procrastinating this post for months because gymnastics has been my whole life since I was 4 years old. It’s time for me to say goodbye to the sport that has taught me how to be hardworking, dedicated, motivated, confident, sassy, selfless, and more. My whole career I was constantly trying to prove people wrong, prove I was good enough. I did just that. I competed for two D1 schools, won a conference championship, made all ACC championship team twice and was able to be a part of the historic inaugural gymnastics team at Clemson. I accomplished way more than little Ky ever thought she would.
I knew this last season would be my last as my body was breaking down more and more everyday. I am incredibly thankful for my time at both Utah State and Clemson, and grateful to all my coaches and teammates that have helped me through this journey. To all my family, supporters, and friends from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I wouldn’t be here without you all.
To any girls in sports, never let anyone tell you that “you can’t” - Prove them wrong.
