This is awesome! @sixers Two-Way MarJon Beauchamp’s grandfather, Henry Beauchamp, was a civil rights leader who became the first black mayor of Yakima, Washington. In 1971, Henry helped raise $500,000 to open a community center in Yakima - which is now named after him. In addition to being elected Mayor, Beauchamp spent 24 years on the Yakima City Council. 🙏 @justmarjon MarJon said that seeing his grandfather devout himself to the community inspired him to do the same. He’s currently averaging 24.8 PPG in the G League with the @delawarebluecoats and recently was called-up to the NBA by the Sixers.

This week, our founder @justmarjon had the incredible honor of spending two full days with the Navajo Nation, hosting a youth basketball camp and connecting with a community that reflects so much of his own journey. Over 200 kids from all grades and age groups attended the camp, where MarJon led on-court drills, spoke one-on-one with participants, and shared his powerful story of perseverance — growing up in a neighboring Native American community in Yakima, Washington, and how being Native has always shaped his identity, purpose, and path to the NBA. MarJon also had the opportunity to meet with the Tribal President, where he expressed his deep commitment to giving back and creating long-term impact for Indigenous youth. His words and presence reminded everyone that representation matters — and that his journey is not just his own, but a beacon for Native communities everywhere. A huge thank you to Coach Strom @str0mtribe and Coach Tarryn @tarryn_it_up23 from Haskel Indian Nation University for coming out and helping lead the camp, and to Lynette @lrlewis2 from NABI Nation for orchestrating this entire event and bringing it all to life. Your support made this experience unforgettable. The camp was more than just basketball. It was about inspiration, connection, and planting seeds of belief in the next generation of Navajo youth. This is just the beginning. 🪶 ✝️
