At the beginning of the year, I started working on ideas for my tour show. I knew that I wanted it to be about how the lack of disability representation (specifically depicting a person with a disability in a romantic relationship) available to me growing up has ultimately led to me being a 35 year old woman who has never felt worthy of love.
The DAY I told my wonderful director Joe my idea, I met somebody and well, long story short, our Doc Martens touched and now I’m in a relationship with the most wonderful woman who is kind, clever, FUNNY and beautiful. I’m incredibly happy.
Please forgive me for pretending to be single for the majority of the year, simply because I was too stubborn to change the tour show.
Social media is a tricky beast at the best of times so for now I am simply sharing the side of her (I can reveal that she DOES have a face…and it is nice). I just wanted to share something that I desperately needed to see when I was younger: a positive example of a disabled woman in a happy, healthy, romantic, wonderfully queer relationship ❤️

Happy World Cerebral Palsy Day to all CPers and all who celebrate our day with us.

I’ve been looking forward to this day for ages because it is my opportunity to shout from the rooftops about The @rosiejonesfoundation and the fact that, with the help of the massive Irish challenge completed by my favourite boys @mud.cutters, we’ve just been able to donate £18,000 to Disability Plus. This money will CLEAR their waiting list of people with CP in need of counselling sessions, providing them all with counsellors with CP.

Today was going to be about me celebrating all that is good and brilliant about having CP.

But on the train home from our gig last night, me and my good pal Lee were victims of ableism and homophobia. They mocked our voices, shouted slurs at us and even threw a wine bottle (plastic, thankfully).

It was a stark reminder that my CP makes me stand out, and is often used as a weapon against me. Unfortunately the worms of this world use my disability to try and make me feel like a victim. I am not.

People with cerebral palsy should never be made to feel like guests in an unwelcoming and hostile world which wasn’t set up for people like us. We have just as much of a right to be here as anybody else. AND DON’T FORGET IT.

Let me end on the positives, while you scroll through my carousel of CP joy. I am PROUD to have cerebral palsy, and setting up The Rosie Jones Foundation is my greatest achievement to date (apart from getting to level 10716 on Candy Crush). Our mission is to empower lives and change minds so that no person living with cerebral palsy ever feels alone or unheard. Together we are mighty. I love my CP Family.

Across the UK right now, people are quietly doing extraordinary things for one another - for their neighbours, their communities, total strangers - choosing hope over hate.

For one week this May (13–20th), we’re bringing hope into the open. Because hope is often quiet - it doesn’t make headlines. But it’s right outside our doors. It’s what brings us together.

@simonpegg @doctoramirkhan @damekellyholmes and @josierones went to find some of these hopeful heroes - and share a very heartfelt thank you.

Because hope always counts. And this week it gets counted.

Thank someone who gives you hope today. Tag them in the comments. 💛 #MillionActsOfHope

Identical photos…only 30 years apart! Loved being part of The Guardian’s Flashback series almost as much as I loved getting back into those Mr Men trousers!

Happy Fathers’ Day to Daddy’s Daddy. Not a lot has changed in 35 years…apart from he’s lost a lot of hair and I’ve gained a lot of body mass. Well done Robby for being a close second to George Michael in the list of father figures in my life.

Black tie…my way 😏. What a gloriously windy day at the BAFTAs. No award win for me apart from…most latex worn on a red carpet. It was an honour to attend with my most favourite person.
And of course thank you @brittan_y_ for designing and styling THAT outfit 😍 and Jen Louise MUA for making me look and feel beautiful.

Expect resistance.

Yesterday, whilst our government and royal family welcomed the arrival of President Trump, I proudly walked with @amnestyuk in solidarity for the rights of women, refugees, disabled people, trans people and people of colour in our country and all over the world.

It’s easy to feel helpless right now at the state of the world but we must remember that together we are a force, and we must not stop fighting against the rise of authoritarianism.

(I tried to not resort to swearing, but honestly, fuck Trump)

Well 2025, you absolutely delivered. I toured, I Melbourned, I released my own sitcom, I launched a foundation and I fell in love…amongst another cracking year full of laughter, friendship and adventures. 2026, you’ve got a lot to live up to!

Belated obligatory London Pride post. First one on a scoot. Lots of people already know my complicated relationship with mobility aids (just the ol’ internalised ableism knocking on the door again), but it felt incredibly special to be riding with some of my favourite queers.

Sorry for drinking and driving. Not sorry for the donuts and harassing gorgeous dogs.

Thank you to @divamagazine for having us. It’s important to stand up for our queer family all the time, but especially this weekend I was rolling for my trans siblings. Dykes For Dolls 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
