@thegrovebos officially opens at @lawnond on June 6 and the entire space has been transformed into a botanical oasis right in South Boston. I got a sneak peak and I have a feeling I’ll be spending a lot of time here this summer with a @drinksuncruiser bucket in hand.

They’ve got ivy-covered cabanas, elevated food and drinks, live music, sports watch parties, food trucks, photo ops, movie nights, and all the outdoor summer vibes. Plus a beautiful mural by @ampamas that we got to see being made right before our eyes!

Formerly known as Boston Restaurant Week, @dineoutboston is the perfect chance to explore some of the city’s best restaurants with special prix fixe menus at accessible price points. For Scampo’s $36 three-course menu, you can experience the flavors of one of Boston’s most celebrated dining destinations in the heart of Beacon Hill.

We started with the Indian Spiced Corn Soup with Crème Fraîche & Maine Crab and the Zucchini Pakora. The pakora was easily one of my favorite bites in this city.

For entrees, we tried the Cajun Shrimp with Carrot & Stracciatella Gnocchi and the Haddock with Chorizo Crust & Fried Green Tomatoes. Both dishes showcased the creativity and attention to detail that make Scampo a Boston favorite.

And you already know we had to finish with @cheflydiabshire’s signature tiramisu. Chef Lydia, mentored by Julia Child, is a true Boston culinary legend who has helped shape the city’s dining scene for decades, and her passion for creating memorable food is felt throughout every dish at Scampo.

We started with cocktails and an appetizer that completely stole the show: the pistachio pesto Brussels sprouts. I don’t say this lightly, but they were one of the best appetizers I’ve had in Boston.

For our entrées, we ordered the braised short rib and the chicken Milanese, and both were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. Then we wrapped up dinner with a crème brûlée that was the perfect sweet ending.
