People will hate this but the way technology has opened up DJing to regular people is amazing. DDJ FLX2 is good for young kids or people on a small budget. If you can afford it I would recommend the DDJ FLX4 cos it has more CDJ-like controls.. go & do cool sh!t 🔥💪🏼 #dj #housemusic #pioneerdj #cdj3000x #alphathetadj #ddjflx2

This week we thought we’d be sharing the happiest news of our lives. Sadly, life had a different plan for us. For the last two years, we’ve been trying for a baby. It hasn’t been easy, especially because James and I hardly see each other. We’d started planning our IVF journey & had meetings with multiple doctors. But just before we were due to begin, something felt different… I can’t really explain it, I bought a pregnancy test & called James literally 1000s of miles apart… Positive I don’t think we spoke for about a minute 🙈 We were excited, scared, grateful, all the emotions! We went for our first scan and saw our baby 🥹 and saw their heartbeat for the very first time 🤍 Keeping it a secret was so hard, especially while touring. The first trimester is literally no joke! A few weeks later, I had a feeling something wasn’t right, I knew I needed to get checked. We booked another scan to make sure everything was okay. That’s when our hearts broke. We were told I’d had what’s called a missed miscarriage, most likely caused by chromosomal abnormalities. My body still believed it was pregnant, but our baby had stopped developing. I don’t think a day has gone by that I haven’t cried. I didn’t know what happened next. It’s not something I’d ever thought about, but the next day, I had surgery & just like that, everything we’d been dreaming about was over. I’m still recovering, both physically & emotionally & I know James is too ❤️ I honestly don’t know how I would have gone through this week without you. This has been the hardest thing we’ve experienced together ❤️ I wanted to share as it feels strange to carry on posting as if everything is normal when right now, nothing feels normal at all. Performing is an escape. It brings joy & I’m so grateful for it. But some days, the thought of getting on stage feels incredibly hard. Since opening up to friends, we’ve realised sadly how common miscarriage is. So many people have gone through it, yet it’s hard to talk about openly. I had no idea how many women & families had experienced the same heartbreak. You’re not alone 🤍

The voice in my head was screaming that I’d fxcked it up and ruined the whole set. But experience taught me that the audience feeds off energy. And the most important thing is to protect that experience for the audience

Dont write yourself off.. it might take 10 years for the world to see your vision. 1. Just got my first CDJs on finance. Live streaming trying to learn them inside out // Residency at Hi Ibiza 2. Health and fitness was an afterthought // best shape of my life 3. Economy seats // Private jets 4. Got my car clamped cos I couldn’t pay the fine // Brand new dream car 5. Hanging around the DJ booth in Ibiza to get a photo with my producer idol // Him actually being one of my peers 6. Slept in this basement room “studio” // Working in the best studios in the world. Never quit and remember when they say NO, it means “not yet”

When I was 16, it wasn’t cool to be a DJ. I didn’t know a single other person who wanted to be one, I just knew when all my mates went to parties I wanted to be the one controlling the music. This photo is from a mate’s 16th birthday when it was clearly still cool to wear a shirt 😆 The message here is if something keeps pulling you in, even when no one else gets it, don’t ignore it. It’s a sign that you’re meant to chase down and if you work hard and get lucky your calling could just impact people all around the world 🤯❤️
