Took one for the team 😔 …it is now APRIL & I’m still dealing with the repercussions of Trinidad Carnival in FEBRUARY. No matter which Carnival you’re going to, these are lessons I definitely learned. 😒Mistake 1 I believe because it was so extremely HOT on Carnival Monday, the combo of that, the texture of the glitter, and my legs rubbing together, it caused friction and irritated my skin which causes hyperpigmentation! Luckily for Carnival Tuesday, I had stockings without glitter, but I did have to use skin-tone bandages (thankfully I had them) to cover the area so it wouldn’t get worse. 😒Mistake 2 I don’t play when it comes to sunscreen. I finished some of my SPFs while I was in Trinidad because I applied every time I went out. However… your lips are part of your face too. You want to make sure you’re wearing SPF on your lips — not just for Carnival but in everyday life. If you want the ones I use, comment SPF & I’ll send the list 😒Mistake 3 Of course you wanna tie your costume to be secure and also make it look nice nice nice … BUT I definitely tied some of mine too tight. Why Lawd!? 🫩 So now I’m dealing with the remnants — scrapes and dark marks from pulling everything too tight. Next time - balance. In addition to my post-Carnival care using @rosemdskin & everything I’m doing now, we’re getting better… but next year? I’m not playing any of these games!! When your makeup passes the white tissue testl 👀 It’s been a sweaty concert type of summer but that never stop the show 💦 More sweat-proof makeup tips are coming… stay tuned hunnie!! Also … Jayz tonight was incredible! Instructions (I know you all are visual so I’ll make a video) 1. VERY little moisturizer. Very hunnie just the thinnest layer so your face is not dry like a biscuit. A litttleeeeeeeeeee ok? 2. Any stick makeup primer (amazon, ulta like one size or elf) let it sit for like 10-15 mins! No cheating 3. NO foundation - I was only wearing Estée Lauder double wear stay in place concealer I have 3 shades (I always suggest you have multiple shades of concealer) a perfect shade, highlight shade and one darker - this is what I used around my mouth for the darkness (mixing darker and perfect shade) 4. NO makeup on my forehead - I was also wearing a hat. If you do ..powder foundation ONLY 5. I set with one size loose powder and sprayed charlotte tilbury 6. The rest of my face are powder - no cream blush, no cream highlight 7. Once I put that lancome powder all over I set once more with … 8. Kryolan setting spray - I talk about this all the time. I sprayed twice. Hold your breath - spray - then do a 2nd layer 9. For my lip it was longwear from MAC so I did nothing 10. If you don’t have longwear concealer like I have use the makeup forever aqua seal or Inglot duraline to make what you already have longwear (I have videos on this in my LONGWEAR highlight) 11. @revlon colorstay eyeliner did NOT budge but you can see that in my previous video @maybelline surreal waterproof mascara 11.
