Last time, I showed you how to teach @Microsoft365 Copilot your @excel formatting preferences so you never have to repeat them. This time, we’re taking it a step further. As someone who works with a ton of raw data, I’m always looking for ways to turn data into insights. Instead of JUST teaching Copilot how I want my spreadsheets to LOOK, I can also teach it HOW I want my data to be analyzed. I set my personalizations up so now my analysis can automatically: 1) Call out anomalies first 2) Explain what’s driving the results 3) End with actionable recommendations Now every future prompt will capture this custom personalization Comment “personalize” or “LIST” and I’ll send you my favorite analysis personalization settings #Microsoft365Partner #Excel #Copilot #DataAnalysis #Investmentbanking

Lately I’ve been thinking about how different learning Excel must be now compared to when I was first learning it. Back then, if I didn’t know how to build something, my only option was to spend hours researching, watching videos, and trial-and-erroring my way through it. Now, after testing @microsoft365 Copilot daily, I can see how much faster that process can be. Part of me is jealous. Part of me wonders if struggling through it manually taught me skills I wouldn’t have picked up otherwise. what do YOU guys think—if you were learning Excel today, would you start with the fundamentals first, or lean into AI from day one? #Microsoft365Partner #ExcelTips #Copilot #Investmentbanking #CorporateLife

if you told me you never had to re-prompt and regenerate your @excel output, i wouldn’t believe you… There’s a really helpful tool in @microsoftcopilot in Excel that can help you bypass some of that: Plan Mode. Instead of jumping straight into generating, Plan Mode lets you plan everything out first. Plan with Copilot can ask clarifying questions, map out the structure, and give you a plan to review.
