What if oral care felt more like beauty care? That was the question we asked when we set out to create MYSMILE by Dr Uchenna. For renowned cosmetic dentist Dr Uchenna Okoye, a beautiful smile was never about perfection. It was about confidence, individuality and feeling good about yourself. We saw an opportunity to challenge the conventions of oral care. To move beyond the clinical world of dental hygiene and create a brand that belonged just as naturally alongside skincare, fashion and beauty. We called it Oral Beauty. At Etu Odi, we brought together Dr Uchenna's dental expertise with the confidence, optimism and self-expression of the beauty world. Inspired by the vibrant colours and patterns of African wax prints, we created a distinctive visual identity full of energy, personality and cultural character. From packaging and merchandise to advertising and digital experiences, every touchpoint was designed to make everyday oral care feel a little more special. Because why shouldn't a tube of toothpaste look as good on your bathroom shelf as your favourite skincare product? But there was something else that made this project special to us. Dr Uchenna was the sister of Etu Odi's founder and Creative Director, Uzoma Okoye. MYSMILE was a collaboration that brought together two worlds, dentistry and design, and a shared belief in the power of creativity to make a difference in people's lives. Today, MYSMILE continues to reflect Uchenna's vision, her vibrant personality and her belief that everyone deserves to smile with confidence. Great teeth. Great smile. Great life. That's MYSMILE.
