At the last stop of my tour in Seattle, @jonas_myers bought a book and waited in line until the very end to surprise me by asking if I’d a sign his copy and take a picture with him. There are very few people that will understand better than him just how much time and energy this book required of me and my family, or how much it means to accomplish this dream of mine. The pride in his eyes made mine well up with tears to the point where it was nearly impossible to see the page I was signing. 🥹 Thank you @jonas_myers for releasing me to be all that I’m meant to be and loving me and the boys so deeply.

I have a Staph outbreak on my *entire* forehead, I haven’t fallen asleep the last 2 nights, and a few days ago I had a panic attack behind a trash can in the La Guardia airport so bad that I eventually asked a bartender for a hug…so today feels like an appropriate day to full send a french bob with bangs. 💀😂 okay but like how cute though!!!! This haircut will always be reminiscent of the first time I decided to chop my curls off when I lived in Australia (last slide! I have way fewer curls now and I have soooo many more pimples than I did 11 years ago, but I’m okay with that. I’ve also lost many things I needed to lose and gained many more wonderful things I never expected I’d have in my life. It all evens out.) In *this* specific season of my life, I feel like I’m desperately grasping at just about anything to help me get rid of the homesick feeling that constantly lives in the pit of my stomach. Haircuts usually help with that. I’m not homesick for anything in particular, I just don’t really do well with transitions. I never have (and I probably never will) so I’m not confused why a season of GIGANTIC transition like this one feels like it’s clobbering me. I’m so happy to be moving to Chicagoland with my family, and I also feel like a little kid that just wants to hear from someone older than her that she’s doing a really good job and is making the right decision. But…a French bob with bangs works too!

When I realized the last show was about to close out, I literally didn’t want to leave the stage because I realized as soon as I walked off, it was all over. You have made one of my greatest dreams come true, and how do I even begin to thank you for something like that? Your belief in me was tangible in every room I walked into.
