Last night caught me completely off guard. I was honored to receive the Maria Perez Tenacity Award. If you know Maria’s story, you know this award isn’t about production she is Eddys Mom, titles, or numbers. It’s about grit. Perseverance. Showing up when life gives you every reason not to. She is a fierce woman and fighter. What impacted me most was the significance of this award and knowing that people I deeply respect saw something in me worth recognizing. Over the last few years, I made a very intentional decision. For years, I was responsible for 60-70% of our company’s production. Today, that number is zero. I do not originate a loan. Not because I stepped back. Because I stepped aside. I chose to invest my time helping others build their businesses, grow their teams, and create opportunities they never thought possible. That’s where my passion is today. So to be recognized for tenacity during a season where much of the work happens behind the scenes means more than I can put into words. I don’t take for granted the people who believe in me. The people who trust me. The people who see me. Thank you to, Eddy, Phil.Jenna, Kenny, and the entire EPM Wholesale family for this incredible honor. And to Kevin DeLory …thank you for always believing in me, challenging me, and reminding me to think bigger. Your impact continues to be felt every day, and I know you were with me last night.
