Rest in Peace to legendary Laney College football coach, John Beam. This tragically comes a day after he was sh*t inside the Oakland campus fieldhouse, local authorities reported. In 2020, Netflix featured Laney College in its “Last Chance U” series, putting Beam’s coaching style on a global scale. He soon became a fan favorite on the series. John Beam dedicated so many years of his life to helping everyone around him and the community. With 45+ years coaching, he truly changed lives and inspired so many young athletes.
