This is always the state of my kids’ rooms when they leave for school, and honestly, as a mum who works mostly from home, it’s such a good feeling to work in a home that is clean, tidy and clutter-free. 🥹 Knowing that everyone’s bed is made, the windows are open and there’s no stale air in the rooms is one of those little things that makes me so happy. As a designer, I’ve also learnt that keeping kids’ rooms tidy starts with giving them enough storage and designing their rooms in a way that makes it easy for them to keep things organised. And honestly, you’re not just doing it for yourself. You’re creating an environment that your children grow up in and get used to. A calm, organised space can make such a difference to how they feel, focus and get things done. So mummy is happy, the kids are happy… everybody wins😂🤎

We hired a private chef in the Uk 🇬🇧 to bulk cook our meals for the month and this happened… 👀 Before I could blink, meal after meal was ready. The kitchen was filled with the most amazing aromas, our freezer was stocked, and the stress of figuring out what to cook every day simply disappeared. We hired a private chef in the Uk 🇬🇧 to bulk cook our meals for the month and this happened… 👀 Before I could blink, meal after meal was ready. Especially for us immigrant parents, I think it’s time we break the stereotype that “letting kids be kids” means doing everything for them or allowing them to grow up without structure. Teaching your child to make their bed, tidy their room, put things away and take responsibility for their space doesn’t take away from their childhood. If anything, it teaches them independence, discipline and life skills they’ll carry with them long after they leave home. Because honestly, children will happily sleep in their own mess if we let them 😂. They don’t always know better, we have to teach them. And I’ll be the first to admit it… I’m a lazy mum 😂. The last thing you’ll catch me doing is tidying my children’s rooms when they are perfectly capable of doing it themselves. In fact, they probably do it better than I do! 😂 Raising capable children isn’t about taking away their childhood. My 12 year old son’s weekend cleaning routine (Bedroom Deep Cleaning) Who says that because we’re raising our children abroad, we have to choose between giving them a happy childhood and teaching them responsibility? Especially for us immigrant parents, I think it’s time we break the stereotype that “letting kids be kids” means doing everything for them or allowing them to grow up without structure. Just appreciating him as we prepare for his birthday in 4 days I can’t believe he was just 10 in this video As we prepare to welcome Andrea into teenage hood, we want to do something special to appreciate him. My desire for him will be to see him excited and happy on his big day. Andrea makes parenting fun and easy and I hope we are able to show him on Thursday how much we love and appreciate 😍him
We surprised our son on his birthday, and it was an emotional rollercoaster🥹😭❤️ Since he was 10, Andrea has always wanted one special thing for his birthday. We promised to get it for him if he smashed his SATs, and he did! But somehow, we kept postponing it. The beautiful thing about Andrea is that he never pressured us. He would subtly remind us, then happily settle for an alternative while patiently waiting for the day we would fulfil his dream This year, we decided it was finally time! He genuinely thought it was another “we will get it for you later” promise, not knowing he was about to walk into his dream😭😂 ❤️ Of course, we teamed up with Muna to get the exact one, including his favourite colours and accessories! All glory to God for giving us the opportunity to fulfil our children’s childhood dreams. Andrea, you have been such a blessing to us as parents and to your siblings. You deserve this and so much more, and we pray that God continues to grant you the desires of your heart. We love you endlessly, our boy.
