Change of direction.
One of my favorite things in skating is figuring out new roads. This super fast left right with a change of grade through the middle made for a fun challenge. I wanted to wrap the left to open up the right, but the road just wanted you to go from apex to apex. @owenfox killing on the follow.

Turkey Qualifying
2:21.446. Pole position in 2025. Took me a while to track down this footage, but I was incredibly stoked of this qualifying session.
My main goal was to improve on my previous year’s time. However, we showed up to a track and the conditions were way funky. A layer of dust had settled on the road making the levels of grip miserably low. Initially I didn’t think it would be possible. However, times progressed throughout the weekend and an improvement was possible. At the end of qualifying I was more than a second up on my 2024 time. Always fun pushing yourself to the limit. Hopefully we can get back in this track in 2026. Maybe sub 21 is possible.

First time back on this gem.
Got a bad repave a couple years ago, but it’s coming back around. One of the most beautiful runs around, featuring one of the sickest double rights. This day I only had time for one recon run but I’m planning to get out here more and put something down.

Staying away from the guard rail
One of the most daunting corners in the local rotation. 60 mile per hour straight into a double apex left that always seems to push you out to the edge. While some are able to grip it full speed, I’ve almost given up on the idea. I’ve settled on a butt puckering low angle toe side. Though this is one aspect of full send raw runs that you may not se to often. The figuring it all out phase.

San Diego got hit with a storm, so we went out to skate.
A little intermission in my historical posts. Always enjoy some good rain skating. To be honest, after the first runs, the downpour was heavy and the road rivers were rushing. However, a couple runs in the sky’s cleared up and it turned into the perfect rain skating weather.

A little closer than six feet from the edge…
Dialing it in on one of the local gems. Stoked to have had the time on this hill to get comfortable with it. However, I’ve spent some time away and feel like there are some details to improve. Looking forward to rediscovering my limit on this one, within reason of course.

One of the most intense heats I’ve ever been a part of.
There is something about Maryhill finals that is so different. Every rider drops in knowing it’s going to be a knife fight until the very last second. Paired with the unique privilege it is to win this race makes it some the the toughest fought racing in Downhill Skateboarding. To say that I have a win at Maryhill is one of my biggest privileges.

New cornering technique just dropped.
Things don’t always go to plan. Especially when you are filming. However, mistakes are where you learn the most. Adaptability and flexibility is paramount when you are trying to push the limits and learn. This isn’t the type of thing I typically post but it’s good to point out. Everyone one makes mistakes, I am far from perfection. However in the chase for such, and the mistakes it welcomes, maybe I’ll get a little closer.
*corner was spotted and I knew no cars were coming so I accepted a bit more risk. Don’t test your limits with upcoming traffic*

Into the abyss
I’ve got to give credit to this road for a majority of my tuck lean confidence. @mr.owen.fox has always been superior in these fast chicanes. Trying to catch him has pushed me to being comfortable with the limit.
Such an incredible feeling when you tie all of the corners together.
