Ayumu Hirano: Path to the Podium — Presented by Marriott Bonvoy.

Ayumu Hirano advanced through the head-to-head bracket at Yunding Snow Park, ultimately meeting fellow Japanese rider Yuto Totsuka in the men’s final.

Hirano won the opening run of the final matchup, but Totsuka answered in the second to force a tiebreaker. In the deciding run, Totsuka attempted a new frontside double cork 1620 tail grab but fell on the final hit, leaving the door open for Hirano.

Needing only a clean run to clinch the title, Hirano delivered a strong sequence of technical tricks including a switch backside 900 and a Cab double 1440 to secure the win with a score of 81.33. The victory earned him first place, $50,000, and 100 World Championship points, while also avenging a third-place finish at the event’s first stop in Aspen.
