In all seriousness though, while I do enjoy poking fun at Apple, I have to admit, most of iOS 26 is drop-dead gorgeous. The lock screen is freaking beautiful, I think the redesigned icons look fantastic, and when the glassy elements are done right, it looks phenomenal. My biggest disappointment is that proper home-screen customization has taken a big hit. Also, for anyone playing at home, I've actually made two iOS apps, so I'm not just downloading the beta for fun, I actually gotta try and figure out how to make my apps look good (and work) on iOS 26 😅

Hot take: Android 16 feels like a cheap mod/skin applied over Android 15. There's just something not quite right about it.

Why did no one tell me how much Apple Music drains your phone’s battery? An hour or two of listening on my iPhone 17 Pro caused the phone to drop to 35% by 2pm (after taking it off the charger at 7:00am) Would have thought that a first party app would be better optimized…

Welp, Nothing Phone (3) design has leaked. There's only one change I would make to improve this considerably... Moving that top left camera to the right, in line with the other two. Would offer much better symmetry and mean the phone doesn't wobble when using it flat on a table 😭 Original render on the left (via: @Androidheadline) vs my crude mock-up on the right.
