“Joe Lacob, the principal owner of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, is the only publicly known suitor. Lacob met with Padres officials in San Diego last week. Two league sources said the group he heads is the leading suitor. Others involved in the process characterized that as not accurate.” t.co/Qg206OkbYE
Brutal attendance for the Aztecs home opener. No idea what SDSU is doing (or not doing) to market the team, but they've been struggling to fill seats for a couple years now.
Can’t wait to see Trevor Hoffman tonight! 👀
@MLFootball Staged. 🤦♂️
Sears was a huge part of this deal — solid, underrated arm I’ve followed on my fantasy team the past couple years lol. And don’t be surprised if Miller gets stretched out as a starter down the line. Both guys are under team control for years… Preller playing chess with more moves to come. 👀⚾️
Padres are in a win-now window with Machado, Bogaerts, and Tatis. Leodalis, as talented as he is, was a long-term piece. Preller excels at replenishing via draft and int’l signings. This trade aligns with their competitive timeline. Smart, aggressive move.
Should’ve never started Yu Darvish. What a terrible decision by Mike Shildt. This guy has been terrible all season long.
The Padres hitting coach has got to go. Every star player on this team is regressing. The approach at the plate has been terrible, with no discipline. These guys are swinging at first pitches, chasing pitches out of the zone, and watching strikes go right down the middle. They need a new voice in the clubhouse because whatever they're doing isn't working. The Padres should've kept Victor Rodriguez.
Dylan Cease singlehandedly buried the Padres after one inning. The game was over before it even started. He’s still winless on the road all season, that’s just pathetic.
Need Tatis Sr. in San Diego ASAP to help bring Tatis Jr. back to form.
The Padres couldn’t handle a manager like Mike Shildt, who set a standard and held players and coaches accountable. We don’t need a buddy-buddy clubhouse culture. Everyone needs to be held accountable, from the coaching staff to the players. Right now, there doesn’t seem to be any standard in that clubhouse, and it shows on the field.
