Was calling a game last night when I got the news on a text that Brett was in a plane crash and didn’t make it. Living in Nashville, I’ve been very fortunate to meet a lot of incredible people…Brett was certainly that-one of the most talented and yet humble and down to earth guys I’ve met. He was a legend as a songwriter and one of the most respected people in that town. He sang at my 50th along with Casey Beathard-such a good man. Just heartbreaking-my thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as they cope with this unthinkable reality. 🙏🏼

So true. Great to have the CFP obviously as a goal but the season isn’t over if that’s out of reach. People that view it this way aren’t being realistic or fair to the players or coaches. For over 100 years teams would go 9-3 or 10-2 and have a New Years Bowl game and celebrate a great accomplishment. I get the 12 team playoff has changed that POV for many but if you finish 10-3 and finish 13th in the country is the season a failure? Again the CFP should be the goal but let these teams compete and fight their asses off and see where you are at the end of the year!

I have no idea about Ben and his health history and respectfully this isn’t about politics. Heart disease-cardiac arrhythmia-irregular heartbeat have been an issues with young people for generations! My grandfather-aunt-brother-myself all diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. All these can be diagnosed with the proper testing-it’s expensive to do it universally but feel it’s last time to help prevent these unfortunate type of situations. Please don’t take the low hanging fruit and make it about Covid-the vaccine-or your politics. This has been an issues for several decades.
