The Masters no-phone policy is a huge reason why the experience feels so elevated. Everyone is actually present. Why don’t we see public spaces copying the playbook? I want to day drink outside this summer at a no-phones bar/restaurant

The Steelers would have won the Minkah for Ramsey trade without Jonnu Smith being in the deal

OKC spending $822 million to lock up SGA, Chet and Jalen means their title window is almost closed

To keep this team together beyond next season, OKC's ownership (which is one of the poorest in pro sports) will have to set the record for highest NBA luxury tax ever paid

Yaxel Lendeborg was cut from his middle school team 3 times and cut from his freshman team mid-season for poor grades. He wasn't mad about it. It meant he continue playing video games for 12+ hours per day.

He wanted nothing to do with sports after graduating. He picked up a warehouse job, but his mother convinced him to join a JUCO team...and something clicked.

For the first time in his life Yaxel believed in himself. He started working hard to results compounded every year.

- Arizona Western College all-time leading rebounder
- AAC Defensive Player of the Year at UAB
- #1 graded transfer
- 1st team All-American
- National Champion at Michigan

When asked about his journey Yaxel said

“I feel like I’m doing it for the people, who don’t believe in themselves”

"I want to be a role model for those people”

“Don’t doubt yourself. Give it a second effort before you give up”

Nico Iamaleava got his $2 million raise, but he fumbled the future bag. UCLA hasn't produced an NFL Offensive Pro-Bowler since Marcedes Lewis in '06

The Pittsburgh Pirates, who finished dead last in runs scored & 30 games back a year ago - are winning the NL Central

- Bubba Chandler & Jared Jones added to an already loaded rotation

- Payroll jumped from $84 million to $120 million after adding Ryan O'Hearn, Marcell Ozuna, Brandon Lowe and Jake Mangum

- Konnor Griffin, #1 prospect in baseball coming up sometime this spring

- Division is wide open as Chicago is the favorite at just 86 projected wins

Did some digging on the Pittsburgh Pirates possibly having the all-time best 3 year run of 1st round draft picks (assuming Konnor Griffin and Seth Hernandez live up to expectations). Yes, it’s way too early for this, but I'm excited and can't help myself...

'24 Skenes
'25 Griffin
'26 Hernandez

Other clubs...

Nationals
'09 Strasburg
'10 Harper
'11 Rendon

Astros (gap in '13-'14)
'11 Springer

Athletics
'65 Rick Monday (2x All-Star)
'66 Reggie Jackson
'67 Vida Blue (Early 2nd round but MVP & Cy Young)

Mariners

'88 Tino Martinez
No 3rd guy

I have UConn and Michigan still alive in a $3 million survivor. If I win, I split for about $150k. Do I try to hedge or let it ride?

The best player story in The Masters is Brandon Holtz - a 39 year old real estate agent and former D1 basketball player who grew up traveling to Augusta yearly because his dad won lifetime badges in a lottery

One of 2 things must be true after seeing the NBA Anonymous Poll

1. Players have no idea what face of the league means

2. They actually believe Anthony Edwards doesn’t want it

This is why the Pacers are still in this series and make so many comebacks. They’re a group of misfits who’ve been doubted, dumped and disrespected

The NBA should learn from how well the MLB rule changes have gone… Offense gets ball back on intentional fouls Call flops and make them technicals Only review objective plays International goaltending Bring back hand check 1 timeout per quarter No draft lottery
