Canada is a geographic lottery winner and as a result has about the same level of situational awareness of a Trust Fund kid showing his new Rolex to a group of homeless people at the soup kitchen

3 possible outcomes in Iran 1. The U.S. leaves and Iran controls the straight & freely sells energy to the world 2. The U.S. gets the regime change it wants, controls the strait and the energy. 3. The U.S. leaves but not before the strait and broader region is in such bad shape that the strait and the regions energy assets are unavailable to the rest of the world. Guess which one of the three is not going to happen.

Higher rates inject more money into the economy, that money gets allocated to equities, and the effects of passive management drive valuations higher.

The only reason the Rules Based Order mattered in the first place was because the U.S. wrote it and the U.S. enforced it. And the reason it no longer matters is because the U.S. is the one tearing it down. To those appealing to international law…who exactly are you appealing to?

Weird how people will say it’s delusional to think the Venezuelan oil can replace the Canadian oil being shipped to the US…but no one ever talks about how delusional it is to think that if Canadian oil doesn’t get shipped to the US it will instead get shipped somewhere else.

* Agree regarding a battle between Trump/Treasury and Fed/Banks. And it’s a battle for control of the Ring of Power. So it will get ugly…

It is to protect the entire global system. If 10-30 year UST yields jump to high single digits it will hit emergent and developing markets harder than anyone. The US can print the chips needed for the blinds required to participate in the global game. No one else can…

I’m not saying this is a “good” idea…but a Hunger Games tournament of conservative podcasters doesn’t currently sound like a “horrible” idea…

Just remember, Twitter is full of people who can come up with various strategic reasons to enact certain policies & actions. But the psychopaths who are actually in power, with both the reasons and means to act on them, are not capable of coming up with plans…😉
