Tarik Skubal is as fake as they come. It’s not like he was trapped on the Rockies with no path to winning meaningful baseball games. He was with the Tigers, a team with one of the best young cores, a loaded farm system, and a bright future. They’ve been in the ALDS back-to-back seasons. He left to make generational wealth and take the easy way out to win a World Series ring with the Dodgers. If winning a ring with the Tigers actually meant something to him, he could have just stayed.
