My husband picked the sweetest little bakery for our Saturday morning treat: Mitten Sweets & Coffee in the First Hill neighborhood of Seattle. @MittenSweetsandCoffee makes French and Japanese pastries plus coffee drinks. There were cakes, tarts, cookies, and pies here in flavors that were new to us. Everything looked so delicious that we had a hard time choosing what to order, but we decided on: 🔸 Kobocha Mont Blanc pie (very light and earthy; great crust) 🔸 Kyoto Matcha Cake (light with good matcha flavor) 🔸 Ube Tart (more dessert-like, but not too sweet) We didn’t try coffee on this first visit, but we’re planning a second visit to try more pastries and coffee. This little bakery is a neighborhood gem and I’m glad we found it! They also take advance orders for whole cakes and tarts. Have you been here before? 📍Location: 509 13th Ave in Seattle, Washington (near Seattle University in First Hill) 💵 Price range: Baked goods range $5-$11. Specialty coffee ranges $6.25-$7.50. … … #seattlebakery #seattlefood #seattlefoodblogger #seattleeats #japanesefood

Washington State’s first Black-owned pizzeria is here and they’re serving delicious Roman-style slices. I’d followed @Isaiah Ruffin and Colleen’s journey to opening Pizza by Ruffin here on TikTok. On a rare weekday off, I got to stop by for lunch. Standout slices for me were the bbq brisket and lamb. My fiancé tried the gotchu-Jane, which was a special. The pizza crust was perfect and I can honestly say lunch was delicious. I just wish I could visit more often! Slices range about $7-$8 each and two slices were enough for me to feel full. Pizza by Ruffin is open on weekdays and be sure to arrive early as they sometimes sell out by late afternoon. Specials rotate weekly, so follow them to see what’s on the menu. This business is also nominated for an @Intentionalist award this year, and the ceremony is in October. Check out Pizza by Ruffin on your lunch break and if you’ve been to this Seattle spot before, tell me your favorite flavor. 🍕 📍Pizza by Ruffin - South Lake Union inside of the Fairview Market Hall 💵 Price range: $7-$8 per slice. [hosted] You can get biscuits and gravy for breakfast outside of the south, and in Seattle, one place serving them up is @LittleJayeSouth in the South Park neighborhood. Portions at Little Jaye are large and hearty, so you’ll leave satisfied and possibly with leftovers. I collaborated with the bakery to share info about tasty seasonal pastries on their menu, including: 🔸 Shokupan doughnut (this one had honey, but they have other rotating flavors) 🔸 Blood orange loaf (sweet and lightly citrusy) 🔶 Banana nut muffin Regular menu items include: 🔸 Shokupan breakfast pizza (loved this) 🔸 Oreo chocolate chip cookie 🔸 Biscuits and gravy (yummy, especially with the green onions) 🔸 Tonic youth (espresso tonic) 🔸 Browned butter bourbon latte 🔸 Ubeby Baby Latte (ube latte) 💡 Tip: Little Jaye is the “little sister” of popular sandwich spot Lady Jaye in West Seattle. On many Sundays during the West Seattle Farmers Market, you can buy a large selection of baked goods from Little Jaye inside of @LadyJayeWest! You can catch this show under the big top at Marymoor Park in Redmond through March 22, 2026. 🎪 I was invited to the premiere night and had an awesome first Cirque du Soleil experience! The performers are so talented and as a music lover, I appreciated that the show had live singers and musicians. They even came off the stage and sang in the audience at times! From tumbling to tightrope walking, Cirque du Soleil Echo is family-friendly and has several humorous moments that the crowd gets to participate in. Here are a few quick things to know: - The show is just over 2 hours, including intermission. - Concession stands available (popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, cotton candy, sodas, etc.). - Parking is $25 in the designated lots, but free street parking is available if you’re able to walk a longer distance. The big top is walking distance from the Redmond light rail station. 🚉 - 💵 🎟️ Tickets start at $59 each for adults. Children’s tickets are $25. I took a break from posting since I had a busy several weeks of work, so my first catch-up post is sharing this butter brunch that @Whattinahlikes and I went to. Arthur’s in West Seattle teamed up with A Butter Place, a local butter company, for “A Butter Brunch,” which had a special one-day-only brunch menu featuring artisanal butters in the dishes. As a native southerner who cannot be separated from butter, this brunch was a win for me and all butter fans. I had the ricotta pancakes with A Butter Place’s peach pie butter. The butter was so delicious that I bought a jar of it at the farmers’ market last weekend. The pancakes were fluffy and filling, too. Tinah had the spring radishes. Arthur’s is a cafe in West Seattle that serves Australian- and Mediterranean-inspired food and drinks. It’s a very popular neighborhood brunch spot. Arthur’s unfortunately had a break-in last weekend that caused damage and a big financial hit, so if you can come by and support this business, please do! You can find A Butter Place every other Sunday at the West Seattle Farmers’ Market, in DeLaurenti, La Pasta, Culture Kitchen (full list of locations on their website), and other pop-ups in the area. I first tried them at the Taste of West Seattle last year and have since bought several of their flavors (Cajun, salted, peach pie, etc.). It goes great on bread and I highly recommend them! 📍 Location: Arthur’s - 2311 California Ave SW in West Seattle 📍 A Butter Place - every other Sunday at the farmers’ market in the @West Seattle Junction + other retail locations 💵 Price range: $20-$30 per person at Arthur’s … … #westseattle #seattlefoodie #seattlefood #seattlerestaurant #brunch #seattlebrunch #arthurs #seattlewashington #seattleeats #butter Seattle food, Seattle brunch, where to eat in Seattle, Seattle breakfast, West Seattle

[hosted] I’ve said for years that the best espresso martini in Seattle is at @The Fonte Bar Square. But did you know that they have a full menu of espresso martinis—not just one? The team invited me to showcase a few signature menu items and now I have a new favorite: the Silky Road. The drink’s smooth texture lives up to its name. My partner and I enjoyed harissa chicken, which was earthy and slightly spicy, and linguine alle vongole (a seafood pasta) for dinner. We shared Belgian frites for a snack afterward. We’d been to Fonté for happy hour a few times before, so it was nice to finally try larger entrées. Our dessert was the incredible affogato espresso martini, and eating it by the fireplace was the most relaxing way to end the evening. Fonté coffee is famous in Seattle for their F2 espresso blend. You’ll recognize it if you’ve been to any @Fonte Coffee location or an Uptown Espresso. The bar makes the cold brew liqueur for the espresso martinis in house! Other drinks we tried: 🔸 Going Bananas, The Meadow, and Oopsie Daisy 📍Location: The Fonté Bar at Rainier Square, 401 Union Street, Suite 201 in Downtown Seattle 💵 Price range: Expect to spend $30 per person and up Disclosure: This visit was comped, but I left a cash tip for the value of our food and drinks. I got married last weekend! I’ll share more about our special day when we receive the professional photos, but for now, I want to thank the team at the Goldfinch Tavern for a wonderful rehearsal dinner experience! (This is not sponsored!) My husband and I chose dishes from the fall group dinner menu: 🔸Herb focaccia (included in all group dinners) 🔸Appetizers: Goldfinch chowder and roasted carrot salad 🔸 Entrées: Pan-seared Muscovy duck breast, soy-marinated salmon, Italian sausage risotto, Dungeness crab rigatoni 🔸 Desserts: Sweater weather (pecan praline dessert) and tiramisu. We also received a surprise congratulatory Bavarian cream dessert 🔸 Drinks: The Purple Rain mocktail was a hit. Several of our guests had one! Most of our wedding guests traveled from out of town and the Goldfinch Tavern and Seattle @Four Seasons Hotels staff provided a relaxing experience for everyone to eat and mingle before the big day. Thank you again! 🥰 Let me know if you’ve been to the Goldfinch Tavern before! It’s inside the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Seattle. New Seattle restaurant videos are on the way soon! If you know me, you know I love a cute themed cafe or restaurant, especially when it’s PNW rustic-themed and the menu is good. That’s why I’ve come to @Ember Goods for years and it’s a regular stop when I’m in Olympia. Ember Goods is in the heart of downtown Olympia. They serve coffee and pastries on the cafe side, and much of the space is a retail gift and clothing shop. They roast their own beans, which you can buy bags of in the store and at other stores in Western Washington. I’ve found candles, t-shirts, tinned fish, and all sorts of home goods and gifts for friends and family here. If you’re local or heading down on a day trip from Seattle, stop in Ember Goods and try a seasonal latte. It’s a cozy shop that celebrates all things Pacific Northwest. Have you been before? 📍Ember Goods - 422 Washington Street SE in Olympia, WA - just about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Seattle 💵 Price range: Coffee and tea range about $3-$6. For our Seattle Restaurant Week dinner, my husband and I visited Plenty of Clouds in Capitol Hill. Plenty of Clouds had been on our list to try for a while since we enjoy Sichuan food, and we loved our meal. They’re offering a $35 per person Seattle Restaurant Week menu that includes an appetizer, entree, and drink or dessert. We opted for non-alcoholic drinks since we knew we couldn’t fit dessert after all the food. I’d pick dessert next time, though. We had: - Pork dumplings - delicious with mild heat. No notes! - Cucumber salad - Fresh with peanuts & mild chili crisp heat - Burning noodles - not as hot as we expected, but great flavor and numbing sensation from the Sichuan peppercorn - Shrimp fried rice - one of the better fried rice dishes I’ve had in Seattle. Huge portion, good chili heat, and lots of shrimp. I took home leftovers. Seattle Restaurant Week runs through May 2. Have you been to Plenty of Clouds or any other participating Seattle Restaurant Week locations? Let me know! 📍Location: 1550 15th Ave Seattle, WA (Capitol Hill neighborhood) 💵 Price range: SRW menu was $35 per person, but their regular menu ranges about $25-$35 per person, depending what you order. If you’ve never tried Haitian coffee, add @Bonhomie Coffee to your list! I’m thrilled to highlight Bonhomie as one of my favorite Seattle coffee bars, and they’re serving coffee drinks that are different from any other local cafe. Bonhomie started as a pop-up inside the Fairview Market Hall in South Lake Union, and collaborated with @Isaiah Ruffin of Pizza by Ruffin for pastries. Now, you can visit their residency location in Belltown at @Labour Temple through the end of 2026. They have a second coffee bar at Tower 1201 and continue to pop up at other places around the city. Their new pastry collaboration is with the popular Pufftown Bakehouse of Pike Place Market. My favorite drink is their signature Kremas latte (with coconut cream, nutmeg, cinnamon, lime, & more) but I also enjoy the Bannan Dous (salted sweet plantain latte), Kafe ak lèt (cold brew), and butter cake. They recently added coffee flights, which I’m excited to try! Seeing Bonhomie Coffee and their team grow over the past couple years has me feeling like a proud aunt! They deserve all of the success and more, and I hope you’ll give them a visit! Few businesses have created the level of community that Michelle and Tori have through the events they’ve hosted, like The Block, a pop-up event for local coffee and food carts. 📍Bonhomie Coffee Bar - Inside of the Labour Temple in Belltown (2800 1st Ave, Seattle, WA) through 2026, and at Tower 1201 (1201 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA) Follow Bonhomie Coffee Bar to learn their next residency location! 💵 Price range: Under $10 per person for coffee Follow me for more Seattle restaurant and coffee recommendations! … … #seattletiktok #seattlecoffee #haitiancoffee #blackownedbusiness #seattlefoodie Seattle coffee shop, Haitian coffee shop, Seattle food blogger, where to get coffee in Seattle, Downtown Seattle coffee, Black-owned businesses in Seattle, Seattle cafes

Gourmet s’mores and PNW rustic decor? Sign me up! @Toasted S’mores Bar is a fun little shop in downtown Portland, OR, that serves made-to-order s’mores and coffee. This is the same spot where 1927 S’mores Company was, but there’s new ownership and a new name, but the same National Forest decor that I live for. 🌲 My partner and I both ordered the Green Thumb s’more, which is similar to a Dubai chocolate dessert. It has chocolate, pistachio spread, and vanilla marshmallow on graham crackers and they cost about $6 each. We loved the s’mores and are big fans of themed restaurants and cafes, so Toasted S’mores Bar was a win for us. Overall, I’m so glad the s’mores concept is back after 1927 closed, and that they kept the camping vibes alive. ⛺️ Add this to your list for your next Portland trip! 📍 Location: 1126 SW Alder St in Portland 💵 Price range: $6-$7 per s’more. It may still be gray and rainy in Seattle (though spring is coming soon), but if you want delicious ice cream in a colorful and inviting shop, visit @AlwaysSummmer.Cafe in Lake Forest Park, about 20 minutes north of Seattle. Always Summer Ice Cream Cafe opened in March 2025. They serve ice cream, sundaes, coffee (including several flavored lattes), milkshakes, crepes, affogatos, and ice cream cookie sandwiches. You’ll find something to satisfy your sweet tooth here! I had a hard time choosing what to order because everything looks so tasty. After a few samples, I chose pistachio ice cream for a sundae with a brownie and a cardamom latte. My husband enjoyed his ice cream, too. We plan to come back because there is so much more we want to try! 🍦 The staff was very friendly and explained the flavors to help us make our choices. The decor is so bright and makes it feel like summer indoors — especially the ceiling lamps that look like ice cream sandwiches! They also sell branded merch in case you’d like to take a piece of summer home with you. 📍Location: Always Summer - 17171 Bothell Way NE Ste. What have you been eating this summer? My fiancé and I have been on a gelato kick to manage these hot (for Western WA) days, and we recently tried a gelato shop from our list, Dolce Diletto in Burien, just south of Seattle. He ordered a cup of half calamansi basil, half chocolate gelato. The calamansi basil was very lemony and herbal. I hadn’t seen that flavor anywhere before, so it was neat to try. I ordered pistachio and loved it. It had a good nutty flavor without being overly sweet. At $5.45 each, we found Dolce Diletto an affordable treat. The staff was very friendly and we plan to come back and try more from the menu. Check out Dolce Diletto and if you’ve been before, tell me your favorite flavor! Or, tell me your favorite gelato or ice cream flavor in general 🙂🍦 📍Location: 917 SW 152nd St in downtown Burien, WA 💵 Price range: $5.45 for a small; other sizes available You can eat here for under $10 per person … … #seattlerestaurant #seattlefoodie #seattlefood #seattlesouthside #burien #burienwa #gelato #gelatoshop #seattledesserts #seattlefoodblogger #foodblogger #blackfoodie #blackfoodblogger #seattletiktok #burienfood #seattleeats #summerdessert Burien Washington, Seattle southside, where to eat in Seattle, Seattle south end, dessert in Burien, gelato in Seattle
