Bucket list hike 😮‍💨🥾 South Kaibab to Bright Angel is a grueling, all-day trek through the heart of the Grand Canyon. Insane views, steep switchbacks, and that feeling of total awe as you descend to the Colorado River and climb all the way back out. My mom and I started hours before sunrise with headlamps on and hit the river by mid-morning. We rested for a few hours at Phantom Ranch before we spent the rest of the day slowly making our way up Bright Angel. It’s one of those hikes that humbles you as well as challenges mentally and physically! We were sore for days but it was so worth it for the unforgettable memories together! Would you do this one? After this point, the pavement disappears and it’s nothing but miles of untouched coastline stretching all the way toward the Mansfield/East Cut. ➡️From here, the only way forward is driving directly on the beach, 4x4 is HIGHLY recommended. From approximately October 7 through March 6, this is the first place in the continental USA to see the sunrise. 🌅 📍 Cadillac Mountain, Acadia National Park, Maine Follow @thisworldofadventure for more hidden gems and bucket list adventures across the USA 🇺🇸 We woke up at 3 a.m. to make it to the summit before sunrise! Standing at 1,530 feet above sea level, watching the sun come up over the Atlantic Ocean was an experience we’ll never forget. 🥹 🌅 A few tips for visiting: 📌 Arrive early! We recommend getting there at least an hour before sunrise to find a good spot. 🚗 Make a reservation! If you’re driving to the summit, you’ll need a $6 vehicle reservation during the reservation season (May 20 through October 25 in 2026), in addition to your national park entrance pass. Reservations must be booked online at Recreation.gov. • 30% of reservations are released 90 days in advance at 10 a.m. ET. • The remaining 70% are released 2 days before your visit at 10 a.m. ET. And they sell out SUPER FAST! 🥾 You can also hike! If you hike to the summit instead of driving, you don’t need a vehicle reservation, but you still need a park entrance pass. 🥶 Dress warm! You can walk across it, take the gondola over the canyon, or lean all the way in with the skycoaster and zipline. 📌 Add this to your Texas bucket list Just outside San Antonio, Natural Bridge Caverns is the largest cavern by volume in Texas, and it’s unreal 😮‍💨 Massive chambers, wild rock formations, and underground paths stretch over ¾ of a mile on the 75-minute guided tour. It’s like stepping into another world. 🌎 We took the Discovery Tour, which led us through towering caverns, ancient formations, and awe-inspiring rooms that felt straight out of a movie. It’s the most popular tour for a reason, easy to walk but packed with jaw-dropping views. 🎟️ Tickets range from $32–$56 for adults depending on the tour ⏰ Book in advance! They fill up fast! Know Before You Go: 👟 Wear comfy shoes with good grip 💧 It stays around 70°F underground, but humid 🚗 Free parking on site 🚫 No touching the rock formations or walls! Have you been?!
