I don't feel like spending $60 on foundation or concealer is the wisest in this economy! So here are some famous "swaps" that are maybe even better than the overpriced high end ones! The list can get long so send this to yourself c @elfcosmetics 's power grip spray! and their BLUSHES! The pigment on them is so strong I can say that a lot of shades are brown girl friendly. #maybelline 's lumi matte foundation, as someone who has dry skin I was scared to try out a matte foundation but it's not your traditional matte foundation and gives the most amazing glowing skin! Also don't sleep on their Eraser concealer, it's been around for a decade now and it never disappoints @L’Oréal Paris for all my lip products! One of my favourite lip combos is using their plumping lip oils with a lip stain or a liner plus they have an impressive shade range!

What if I told you that you don't need to buy more and more skincare in order to get clear skin? With skincare less is always more! Everything that I'm about to mention here is for people with DRY and SENSITIVE SKIN TYPE, so keep that in mind. 1. No cleanser in the AM I realize it must be difficult to switch all of a sudden but hear me out! I've been in the same place you are and doing this has significantly cleared up my acne. I was once advised by my dermatologist to stop using my cleanser to wash my face in the morning and I haven't looked back since! So how would you wash your face? Just WATER 2. No active ingredients in the AM Since you skin is dry the harsh sun rays tend to irritate your skin further. There is no hard and fast rule of not using actives but something that I've tried and I could feel the difference. Even after using the most hydrating products I would find myself looking for a moisturizer in the middle of the day because my skin felt dry but it doesn't happen anymore ever since l've stopped using them in the morning! 3. Tinted Mineral sunscreen This one applies to ALL SKIN TYPES, we've all understood the importance of sunscreen and how it prevents early signs of aging. But a tinted mineral sunscreen is one step ahead! It is widely recommended to use a mineral sunscreen to get the best sun protection, however they leave a white caste almost all the time. So if you use a tinted mineral sunscreen, you'll be left with a gorgeous glow on your face and at most protection from the sun.

Here are some tips that saved my skin: 1. Skip oil cleansing? Congrats, you’re basically marinating in yesterday’s dirt. 2. Hot water on your face = free ticket to Barrier Damage Land. 3. Acids on dry skin? That’s skincare self-sabotage, not exfoliation.Always use hydrating products before applying actives. 4. Switching products weekly? Girl, it’s not “curating,” it’s commitment issues. 5. Hands on your face? Say hello to breakout delivery express.

Clearing my hormonal acne wasn't about a miracle product — it was about doing a few annoyingly small things consistently (the kind no one romanticizes). Here are 5 small but genuinely difficult habits that changed my skin Eating before caffeine 1. I stopped letting coffee spike my cortisol first thing in the morning. My hormones noticed before my skin did. 2 Sticking to the same routine even when my skin "looked better" The urge to experiment was strong. Discipline was stronger. 3. Not touching my face when I was anxious Turns out stress + hands-on-face = breakout combo meal. 4. Letting breakouts exist without attacking them No panic spot-treating, no 5 actives layered out of fear. Just patience (rude, but effective). 5. Sleeping on time more often than I scrolled Beauty sleep is real. Revenge bedtime procrastination was my acne's best friend.

I'm brown in the world of capitalism you won't see me justifying high end prices for no reason Save this before your next makeup run and don't forget to follow me and you'll thank yourself later This is for anyone who thinks good makeup has to come with luxury packaging and emotional damage to the bank account. It doesn't. ✨ Maybelline Lumi Matte Foundation - skin-like, balanced, wears beautifully without doing too much. The best foundation I've tried EVER. ✨ Maybelline Eraser Concealer - brightens, blends itself, still undefeated. They were doing creamy concealer before it was even a thing •0 ✨ NYX Plump Right Back Primer (yellow) - grip + hydration without the sticky regret ✨ e.l.f. Makeup Brushes - soft, precise, and proof that tools matter more than price ✨ e.l.f. Camo Blushes - pigmented, blendable, actually stay put ✨ Revlon Baked Setting Powder - smooths, sets, zero chalky behaviour, best if you have dry skin! These aren't "good for drugstore." They're just good.

Here is the list of tools that will guide you: Before I list the tools it’s important to know that none of this is sponsored. It is not news that big name skincare, hair care and body care brands have been using very suspicious ingredients lately. So it’s important to protect ourselves as consumers. ✨ Yuka: this app shows you the meaning behind all the ingredients listed and gives a rating based on its contents. The best part is that it also shows suggestions below which will guide you to a safer product. ✨ pore clogger checker: this is a free tool provided by multiple sources, all you need to do is search this on safari or and it will list all the websites who offer this feature. If your skincare shelf is stacked, your routine is “technically correct,” and your skin still isn’t changing — this isn’t a you problem. Here are 5 very real reasons your skincare might not be working 👇 1. You keep switching products mid-cycle Skin needs weeks, not vibes. Resetting your routine every time you get one breakout is quietly sabotaging progress. Your barrier is damaged but 2. you’re treating acne like the enemy Dry, inflamed skin doesn’t respond well to “stronger.” It responds to calm. 3. You’re using actives without supporting them Exfoliating without enough hydration and sunscreen is like running a marathon with no water. 4. Your skin is reacting to lifestyle stress, not products Hormones, sleep, digestion, and cortisol don’t care how expensive your serum is. 5. You’re chasing someone else’s results Different climate, different hormones, different skin history — copying routines rarely works long term. If you’ve ever thought, “Why does skincare work for everyone except me?” — you’re not alone here. This page is for people who want to understand their skin, not punish it. Follow along if you’re done guessing and ready to heal your skin with intention 🤍

I'm not against high end makeup but I think I'm not the only one who doesn't feel like spending thousands on each makeup product ESPECIALLY if you wear makeup daily! I don't apply a primer regularly but if you're looking for a good one @nyxcosmetics de 's plump primer with electrolytes is the one to go ! #elf 's gripping setting spray! Before, during and after the whole routine! #maybelline 's lumi matte foundation! This gives me so much glow! And the shade range is perfect for brown girls. I personally am an olive girly and I'm HIGHLY impressed with this foundation! #maybelline 's Eraser Concealer! The OG girl of hydrating concealers you cannot go wrong with this one honestly! @elfcosmetics 's sauve mauve blush! So pretty on brown girls. And the controversial bit, setting your makeup is the key to long lasting makeup so I usually use the @Huda Beauty 's new pressed powder and if you have the budget to splurge the do it OR @Kosas (my personal fav) cloud set pressed setting powder! Butttt if you are looking for more affordable option you can use @revlon 's setting powder (I've heard great things but haven't tried it)

This isn't anti-luxury, it's pro being smart with your money. Because great makeup isn't about the logo - it's about the formula, finish, and how it wears on real skin. These swaps don't feel like "dupes," they feel intentional. ✨Foundation: YSL All hours luminous matte foundation →Maybelline Lumi Matte foundation (skin like finish, better shade matched do girls) ✨Concealer: NARS Radiant Creamy → Maybelline Eraser Concealer (hydration > hype) ✨Blush (liquid/cream): Rare Beauty → e.l.f. Putty Blush (same soft-focus flush, zero screaming) ✨Bronzer: Charlotte Tilbury → Milani Silky Matte Bronzer or the elf bronzer (warmth without orange crimes) ✨Mascara: Dior / Too Faced → Maybelline Lash Sensational (industry standard for a reason) ✨Lip oil / balm: Dior Lip Oil →L’Oréal plumping lip oils (plush, comfy, actually lasts) ✨Setting spray: Urban Decay → Milani Make It Last (locks in like it has a 9-5) ✨Powder: Laura Mercier →Revlon pressed powder (blurs, not chalky, no drama Same results. Same confidence. Just less damage to your bank account. Save this for your next makeup run - your future self will thank you it

Not every "viral" K-beauty product deserves a permanent spot on your shelf... and I said what I said. ✨ Anua Oil Cleanser - marketed as gentle and calming, but on my skin? Hello congestion. Goodbye glow. I know this is one of the OG oil cleansers which put oil cleansers on the map bu their ingredients are not the best if you have sensitive skin. ✨ COSRX Low pH Morning Cleanser - supposed to be soothing and barrier-friendly, yet somehow left my skin feeling stripped by 9am. I found their salicylic acid cleanser to be WAYYY more effective and less stripping®-✨ D'Alba Truffle Spray - claims instant glow and hydration, but it sat on my skin like expensive scented water and honestly had a really strong alcohol smell which my sensitive skin didn't appreciate ✨Dr.G RED Blemish Cream - everyone swears it calms redness, meanwhile my skin said "absolutely not" and didn't do anything. Like no bad reactions but nothing positive either and I finished the whole cream before you think I'm misjudging it (o ✨Arencia Green Mochi Cleanser - cute texture, big claims, but my skin barrier did not sign up for that experience. To be fair I was in LOVE with their initial launch of this product but ever since they went viral they've reformulated their cleanser and whenever I tried to use the new version it broke me out. This isn't hate, it's honesty. What works for millions doesn't automatically work for you - and your skin isn't "problematic" for reacting differently. If you want real reviews, no brand-pleasing, no overhyping, just skin-first opinions... you'll feel very at home here. Follow for K-beauty reality checks your algorithm won't give you
