DIY Foam Insulation Halloween Garland Love throwing the rules out the window when it comes to craft supplies. 😂 If my brain has an idea, I’m going to try it—even if the products I’m reaching for were never intended to be used that way! That’s exactly what happened with this Halloween garland. I used silicone molds and insulation spray foam in two very unconventional ways, and I couldn’t be happier with how these little pieces turned out! I’m loving the retro vintage vibe, especially keeping them black and white with just a touch of gold to make the details pop. Eventually, this garland will make its way to my fireplace once I get all of my Halloween decorating finished, and I think it’s going to be SO cute! Craft supplies, art supplies, random products… I say use them however your creative brain tells you to. There are no rules when it comes to creating! #fyp #DIY #halloween #handmade #crafts

Real fall leaves are beautiful, and did you know you can preserve them with gloss mod podge? Coat one side, let it dry for about 30 minutes, flip it over, and coat the other side. It preserves the color and shape while keeping the leaves plyable and movable. Turn them into garland, ornaments, or use them throughout your fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving decor without them, crumbling, curling up, or turning brown. #leaves #trees #decor #Home #fall

Colored lampshade upcycle - My first upcycled lampshade using decals on the inside completely went viral and so many of you kept saying… “Okay but what if you tried one with color?” So challenge accepted… 🤗 This time I went full floral with it and thought these whimsical flowers were just asking for a little color. Instead of pulling out messy paint and it dripping everywhere I grabbed my acrylic paint markers and they ended up being absolutely perfect for filling in between all of the black decal outlines. It was simple, relaxing, and so fun watching it all come to life. And I have to admit… adding color gave this lampshade such a different look and feel from my first black-and-white version. Same idea, completely different vibe, and I’m kind of loving both for totally different reasons👍🏻 #DIY #lamp #decor #lights #fyp

Started with air-dry crayola clay, heart shaped cookie cutters, letting them dry on a paper plate to create the perfect curved shape. I painted them crimson and white with acrylic paint, added gold pin trim on the smooth edges for extra pop and pizzazz, then removed the glass from a budget frame and glued the hearts directly onto the mat for a fun 3D pop-out effect. I love putting a creative spin on DIY crafts, turning simple supplies into personalized home decor and a work of art with lots of beauty and character. #fyp #art #valentines #handmade #artist

Little things that make me happy - Make miniature vintage frames with hot wax - While I’m slowly collecting real vintage frames one thrift trip at a time for the gallery wall I dream about in my house, I thought it would be fun to create a tiny version first. I used vintage style wax sticks and colored hot glue sticks with silicone frame molds in all different styles and sizes to make these miniature frames feel old and collected. A little gold leaf Rub ’n Buff brought out all the vintage charm, and I added floral art prints in some while letting real dried flowers pop out of others for extra texture, depth and dimension. Now this little piece feels like my own tiny wall of inspiration until I finally collect enough vintage frames for the real thing. #fyp #dollhouse #handmade #DIY #art

I had a bunch of white pumpkins from past years of decorations for Halloween, and I decided to spray paint them black to give them a new look for another season. For this one, I added a few ghost faces using lightweight spackle. It was such a simple makeover and a great way to reuse something I already had instead of buying new. Nothing that a little spray paint and imagination can’t fix. #pumpkin #ghost #halloween #kids #craft

I DIY’d a simple kitchen towel into a little clutch bag, makeup bag, or toiletry bag I used a 28 x 18½-inch cotton kitchen towel, but the fun part is choosing your towel! Pick one in your favorite color, a seasonal print, or a themed towel. Bridal, bachelorette or birthday party: make one for each of your guests and fill them with little goodies! Makeup or toiletry bag: because you can never have too many little bags! And if you don’t have a sewing machine, no worries! You can absolutely hand-stitch this project. Just make sure your stitches are nice and tight and secure. One tip I definitely recommend: use a sturdier towel material. Mine was cotton, but something like a burlap or heavier-weight towel would work beautifully. The sturdier the fabric, the better your little bag will hold its shape. A very soft or thin towel may not give you that same structured look. Such a great upcycled DIY project that will give you years of use. #fyp #DIY #purse #bag #craft

Making custom t-shirts using regular printer paper You don’t need a big fancy machine to make your own custom T-shirts! All you need is regular printer paper, an image you love, and photo transfer glue. I found my vintage-inspired Halloween images on Etsy and Zazzle, but you can also search Canva and find free images online. I tried this technique on 100% cotton, a cotton-rayon blend, and sweatshirt material, and I love how each one turned out! The fun part? You get to decide the final look. I wanted that worn-in, faded, retro vibe, so I let some of the color wash away before touching up a few details with fabric markers and sealing everything with clear fabric medium. If you want to preserve the original colors, apply the fabric medium as directed before washing. And don’t stop at Halloween! Think Christmas, Easter, pictures of your kids or pets, birthday parties, bridal showers, or any custom design you can dream up. You can create something completely your own without investing in a fancy heat press or placing a custom order. Come upcycle a plain, ordinary lamp with me. I had this extra lamp and lampshade sitting around and instead of buying something new, I decided to try a little DIY twist. I added decals to the inside of the shade—and when the light turns on, they softly glow through… and WOW, I was not expecting it to look this good. Such a simple, budget-friendly hack that instantly makes a lamp feel custom, styled, and high-end. Now I’m officially obsessed and eyeing every lampshade in my house to do it again 🤭 Proof you don’t need new—just a little creativity #fyp #DIY #lamp #decor #art

A vintage pink rose bath towel, a simple sewing project, and the cutest summer tote. 🌸☀️ I turned this thrifted towel inside out, stitched both sides, added boxed corners for a finished shape, and hand-sewed wooden handles with extra-thick thread so it could hold all the beach-day essentials. The result? A cute little upcycle with all the vintage poolside charm. You can make one with any towel—thrifted, vintage, well-loved from home, or brand new. There are so many towels in thrift store and I am always looking for special ones. Such a fun and easy DIY for summertime. DIY Faux Patchwork Quilted Tote Bag — all supplies are linked in my bio. Who says patchwork has to involve sewing? This faux patchwork quilt tote came together with nothing more than a bit of fabric and Fabric Mod Podge! I cut fabric into squares, adhered them to both sides of a plain tote, sealed everything with another coat of Fabric Mod Podge, let it dry, then finished it off with faux white fabric puffy paint stitched details and eyelet lace trim. No sewing machine. No needle and thread. And an easy way to give fabric scraps a second life! Use it as a farmers market bag, beach bag, picnic tote, travel bag, diaper bag… or, in my case, it’ll probably be heading to craft night with friends. I turned an ugly wall outlet into a cute piece of wall art with this easy DIY picture frame outlet cover. This budget-friendly home decor hack is perfect for hiding wall outlets in your kitchen, bathroom, or any room where you don’t want to see plugs on the wall. I used a small picture frame, removed the back hardware to make sure I had a flat surface to hot glue on child safety plastic outlet covers. When I need to use the outlet, I will just take the frame off, plug in my appliance, and pop it back in place when I’m done. This simple DIY home project is a great way to upgrade any space with creative wall decor while covering unsightly or unneeded wall outlets. #fyp #DIY #handmade #frames #art

Seriously… temporary tattoos are NOT just for skin! They should be a staple in every craft store because the possibilities are endless. If you haven’t added temporary tattoos to your craft stash yet… what are you waiting for?! I already showed you how amazing these are on ceramic and other non-porous surfaces, and now I’m putting them to the test on PLASTIC! This plain plastic lampshade went from absolutely nothing to totally Halloween-ready with just a few tattoos. And then I took a plain soap dispenser and used colorful tattoos to give it a whole new personality for the bathroom. Want them to last? Just spray a clear adhesive over them to make them more permanent. Want to change things up from season to season, holiday to holiday, or theme to theme? No problem! A little nail polish remover and a cotton swab takes them right off, clean and easy. Go get yourself some and start sticking them on EVERYTHING! Halloween temporary tattoos and turned a simple white flower pot I already had into the cutest Halloween decor! I added a few to a little cauldron-style candy dish too, and just like that… instant Halloween vibes. No mess, no fancy supplies—just a little water on a rag, hold it on for a few seconds, peel it away, and let it dry. Once they’re dry, they stay put! And here’s the crafty secret… temporary tattoos come in SO many designs, themes, holidays, and styles. They’re such a fun way to customize your decor, gifts, party supplies, and so many other things. IMPORTANT INFO: Temporary tattoos will adhere to glass and porcelain, and they can stay on for a very long time if they are not heavily washed. Because glass and porcelain are non-porous and smooth, the adhesive bonds to them even better than it does to human skin. How They Behave on Ceramic and Glass 🕷️Application: They transfer exactly the same way they do on skin. You place the design face down, wet the paper backing, and slide it off. 🕷️Longevity: On a decorative item (like a display plate or vase), the tattoo can last for years without peeling. 🕷️Durability: The adhesive is water-resistant but not dishwasher-safe or friction-proof. Scrubbing the surface or using harsh soap will peel it off. Tips for Making Them Last 🕷️Clean the surface: Wipe the glass or porcelain with rubbing alcohol first to remove any oils. 🕷️Seal the design: Apply a thin layer of clear acrylic sealer or Mod Podge over the transferred tattoo to protect it from scratching or washing off. 🕷️Bake (Porcelain only): For mugs or plates, you can bake the piece in a home oven at 300°F (150°C) for 30 minutes. I’m telling you, these deserve their own section in the craft supply aisle! Crafters, add these to your stash! #fyp#fypy #halloween #tattoo #decor

These adorable porcelain floral butter knives became beautiful tiny little vases and instant keepsakes for the bridal shower guests. I used a heat gun to loosen the glue holding the metal knife portion in place, then carefully wiggled it out with flat pliers. Once cleaned up, I added two strong magnets to the back and filled each one with a little water, baby’s breath, and eucalyptus. ⚠️ Safety tip: The porcelain gets VERY hot, so wear heavy-duty heat-resistant gloves. I made these DIY party favors for my soon-to-be daughter-in-law’s bridal shower and placed them on a custom magnet board. Each guest got to take one home as a little thank-you for being part of her special day. They were such a sweet, dainty keepsake—and something they could actually use! And if you’d like every single step in a much more detailed tutorial, I’ve also made a PDF tutorial available for purchase on my website. #fyp #bride #brodal #DIY #flower
