This is, without a doubt, our favourite annual tradition. I swear it's better than Christmas 😄 We wait all year for the weather to be warm enough and for the nights to be drawing in to turn our trampoline into an outdoor cinema and sleep under the stars with the kids. Until I realised that you need to paint the wall first and then add the panelling if you don't want to spend the next 527 years with a paint brush in hand painting each gap and each square individually several times over... When I tried picture frame moulding in the boys' room for the first time I almost cried at how long it took to paint and wondered how no one had warned me about it... Until I realised that you need to paint the wall first and then add the panelling if you don't want to spend the next 527 years with a paint brush in hand painting each gap and each square individually several times over... Not going to lie, making progress in here during the summer holidays has been slow and painful but I'm beginning to see the vision come together. In honour of Father's Day - felt fitting to post this video of my dad impressing my boys by doing a back flip at the ripe old age of 65 when he came to visit us from South Africa 😄 The last time he'd seen the kids, the twins were only 18 months old 🥹❤️ They definitely won't be forgetting this visit that's for sure 😅 #family #familymemories #corememories #FathersDay #grandparents

The family bathroom now sticks out like a sore thumb...😬 we did a very quick fix in there 4 years ago as soon as we moved in and its crying out for a proper make over but Mr C is still traumatised by our en suite reno so that might be a while... 😅 On the plus side we're making good progress on the snug! All you need are some wire flower baskets, cable ties and some battery remote controlled fairy lights which are suitable for outdoor use.
