Both of my pregnancies were completely different, yet I gave birth to both of my daughters naturally at home. One in Georgia. One in Costa Rica. No medical intervention. No medication. Just faith and deep trust in my body. I’m sharing this to remind you that no matter your circumstances, your body holds wisdom. Listen to it. Trust it. You are far more capable than you’ve been led to believe. And this is why I’m intentionally building a community where mamas are supported in every area of their journey. Ok

I moved abroad with two suitcases, a stroller, and a 3 month old baby. I didn’t have a relocation plan, a roadmap, or a safety net just a deep desire to build the best life possible for us. And I did. Now I’m on a mission to help mamas remember that abundance is their birthright and motherhood is ministry. #ugccreator

Sometimes the hardest part of being a single mom ain’t the bills, the schedules, or the long days. It’s standing at the park, watching dads run around with their kids… watching the daddies push strollers and carry all the bags… Mannnn… I be sitting back wishing we had a daddy too. Ha. But nah… Shoutout to my bonus dad, Maurice, for being such a consistent father figure and never missing a beat. Best paw paw in the world.

The first video was taken just three days after we moved to Costa Rica. My daughter was only three months old, and I was already on a mission. I wanted to raise a child who spoke multiple languages… who understood and respected other cultures… who grew up with the ocean, wildlife, and nature as part of everyday life. A child who thought it was normal to pick fruit from trees, eat vegetables straight from the yard, and grow up connected to the world around her. It’s been quite a journey. My youngest daughter was actually born in Costa Rica, which made the experience even more special. And now, the same opportunities I was intentional about creating for my own children… I’m working hard to create for the youth in my hometown of Griffin, Georgia. I want to build spaces where kids are exposed to language, culture, growing their own food, entrepreneurship, and a bigger vision for their lives. It may not be Costa Rica anymore… but I’m doing my best to create environments that feel just as rich, just as intentional, and just as full of possibility. And that’s the mission now.

EPISODE 1: I turned an e-book into a six-figure business. I created an e-book, launched it online, and what started as a simple idea turned into a six-figure business. But there’s so much more to the story than the money. In this series, I’m sharing what I did, what worked, what I got completely wrong, and the lessons I learned along the way — so you don’t have to make the same mistakes I did. Because I want you to win faster than I did. This is Episode 1. And we’re just getting started.

I moved to Costa Rica as a single mother searching for a better quality of life… and I found it. I found peace, softness, healing, presence, and a version of myself I had forgotten. It was one of the best decisions I could have made for me and my child. But every season has an assignment. And some seasons aren’t meant for building, grinding, or proving… they’re meant for resting. Costa Rica was that season for me. A place that restored me and reminded me what joy feels like. When I started doing too much, trying to carry too much, and helping everybody but myself, things shifted. I learned what happens when you stop honoring the season you’re in. We’re no longer there now, and yes, I grieve that chapter deeply. The lifestyle. The beauty. The ease. The woman I was becoming there. But I’ve learned something even greater: paradise was never the place. Because no matter where you go… you take you with you. So now I’m learning to create paradise wherever I am. Joy wherever I am. Magic wherever I am. Costa Rica was beautiful. But the real destination has always been me. ✨

In 2022, I sold everything I owned and moved to Costa Rica with my three-month-old baby. I didn’t have a perfect plan. I didn’t have every answer. I didn’t know exactly how it would all unfold. But I had a vision. I had a deep knowing that there was more for my life. More freedom. More adventure. More experiences. More possibility. So I made the boldest decision of my life and chose to trust myself. Some people might have called it unrealistic. Some might have called it crazy. But I knew that staying comfortable would never create the life I was dreaming about. That season taught me that courage doesn’t mean you aren’t afraid. It means you believe in something bigger than your fear. And now, in this next chapter, I’m carrying that same audacity with me. The audacity to rebuild. The audacity to dream bigger. The audacity to become the woman I know I’m capable of becoming. Building my body. Building my business. Building my life. Because I’ve already seen what happens when I bet on myself.

How I became a single mother (the first time) My name is Dominique, and I’m rebuilding my life as a single mother of two. Today, I’m taking you behind the scenes of how I became a single mother the first time. And this experience is exactly why I created my community a space where women can get real support across the board. Business support. Personal support. Support as mothers. A place where you don’t have to figure life out alone.

Although my daughter is Costa Rican and holds her Costa Rican passport, there are so many countries where having a U.S. passport just makes traveling easier. And because we have some really big birthday trips coming up, the visa requirements for her Costa Rican passport were way too intense. So… we went ahead and got her a U.S. passport. I honestly didn’t even know if it was possible, because she’s a Costa Rican citizen. She doesn’t have a social, and she won’t ever have one. But we still got it done. I’m only sharing this because I know there’s a lot of mixed information out there, and it can make you nervous about having a baby abroad or traveling with a dual-nationality child. This is just for informational purposes to let you know what’s actually possible.

There was a season where my business was at an all-time high. Everything was beautiful. We had just finished a rental property in Costa Rica and listed it on Airbnb. I had full support—an in-house chef, a nanny, space to breathe, room to dream. On the outside, it looked like I had arrived. And then… it felt like overnight, God stripped everything from me. Not because I had done something wrong but because I had slowly become rooted in self-sufficiency. Rooted in my business. Rooted in scaling, growing, and making more. I had grown comfortable. Complacent, even. I never planned to leave Costa Rica. But I realized something hard: in that season, I wasn’t serving. I was tucked away. And I’ve been called for more than isolation I’ve been called to show up, to be in community, to pour into people. The lifestyle became louder than the call. Another truth I had to face is this: when I teach, coach, and lead, I never speak on things I haven’t lived. So while the shift was abrupt and painful, I’m grateful I got to experience it. I got to experience being at a very low place… with children. I got to experience the grace of God in the middle of uncertainty. I got to find peace and humility when so much was out of my control. There are levels to surrender. And this season forced me into a deeper one. And now, I’m building again. The kind of community I wish I had at the peak of my business. During the pivot. In the rebuild. During labor. After leaving a relationship. I had to walk through all of it so I could create what so many of us truly need. And for that… I’m grateful.

One of the bravest and boldest things I’ve done in my life was move to Costa Rica as a single mom. It was such a beautiful season. Full of growth, freedom, learning, and so many moments I’ll never forget. I’m incredibly grateful for everything that experience taught me about myself, about motherhood, and about trust. While I’m now back living in the United States, I carry that chapter with me deeply. It shaped me in ways I still feel every day. And honestly, one of the unexpected parts of that season was how I was able to sustain myself as a UGC creator — getting paid to simply document and share my life made it feel even more aligned and expansive. It wasn’t perfect, but it was real, it was transformative, and it was mine.

Unpopular opinion: America won’t be healthy until we find a way to ensure mothers can be at home with their children during the first few years and not be forced to work full time jobs outside the home.

It’s amazing how every obstacle becomes part of the purpose. The things that felt heavy. The delays. The moments that forced me to slow down, rebuild, and rethink everything. Those obstacles weren’t interruptions. They were instructions. They showed me what families actually need. They showed me the gaps. They showed me why this work matters. Because of what I walked through, I’m building something different— a space where our toddlers are nurtured, our mamas are supported, and no one has to choose between healing, building, or being present. Nothing was wasted. Every obstacle became the blueprint.
