This is the only golf course in the world where your shot can stay in the air for over an hour. Tornio Golf Club straddles the border of Finland and Sweden. 11 holes in Finland, 7 in Sweden, and 4 crossings between time zones. On the 6th hole, a 132-yard par 3, you can tee off in Sweden at 1:00pm and watch your ball land in Finland at 2:05pm. Add in 24-hour daylight during midsummer and you’ve got one of the most surreal golf experiences on Earth.

POV: Your brand makes films not ads. For our AW25 collection the team travelled to Iceland to put our Foulweather collection to the ultimate test. On that barren monochromatic coastline, golf persists through freezing winters, brutal winds, and even volcanic eruptions. But what left a lasting impression wasn’t the drama of the conditions or the landscape, but the quiet, no-fuss resolve of the people who played through them. We hope the same substance runs through this collection. Perhaps it will help to steer you through the winter. For it is here, and it is unrelenting.

Here is a fun game for the next time you're on a golf trip. It’s called the Prince of Wales. All you need is your mates, a few rounds of golf and somewhere to track your scores. The game originates from @durbancountryclub when the Prince of Wales played the 12th hole. In his first round he made a 16, but the following week came back and made a 3. The rules are simple. Let’s say we’re playing four rounds of golf on our trip. On each hole you take your best score to par across the four rounds. And by the end of the trip, you’ll have built your ultimate 18-hole scorecard — your best first hole, second hole, all the way through 18. It works perfectly on any golf trip, whether you’re playing the same course all week or travelling around. Because your score to par keeps it fair when every course is different. So if the first is a par 5 one day and a par 3 the next, it doesn’t really matter. With the lowest scorecard in the group taking the win. Save this for your next golf trip and check out A Change of Course: KwaZulu Natal live on the MANORS YouTube channel for the full story.

How much do modern clubs really help us play better golf? And at what point do they stop adding yards - and start taking away the simplicity that made us love the game in the first place? To find out, James travelled to the ancient links of Royal St David’s, where the challenge was straightforward in theory and formidable in practice: Every time he breaks par, his clubs jump 30 years back in time. And in each era, he only has 24 hours to make it count. Can he chase generations of golfing excellence before the clock runs out? Or will the plus fours be packed away before they reach the first tee? Watch the Breaking Par in Every Era video LIVE now on the MANORS YouTube.

Every July the same question comes up. Why doesn’t The Open visit more of Britain’s greatest golf courses? The answer usually isn’t the golf. Some courses don’t have the room for 280,000 spectators. Some don’t have the roads, rail links or accommodation. Others are caught up in politics. And some simply sit outside what The Open has always been. That leaves us with a long list of championship courses we’ll probably never see on golf’s biggest stage. From Royal County Down and Royal Dornoch to North Berwick, Sunningdale and Turnberry, these are some of the greatest Opens we’ll never get to watch. Which course deserves its chance the most?

Did you know that bunkers weren’t meant to be on golf courses? Back when golf was created, the game was played on the linksland of Scotland. This infertile sandy soil that linked the land to the sea was fit only for hardy, grazing sheep. But even these wool covered soldiers needed shelter from the harsh winds that blew in from the North Sea, so they huddled behind mounds and in low lying depressions. Through cold winters, these sheltered spots became more and more eroded, eventually growing large enough to trap the sand blowing from nearby beaches. As golf gained popularity, these sandy hollows acted as the perfect hazard to play around and were named bonkar by the locals Scotsman: an old Scots word for a storage container or chest. Almost every single course around the world is lined with sandy traps, but these devilish additions weren’t designed by man. We stole them from the sheep and claimed them as our own. ✂️: @toemousegolf

Our Creative Director asked if we could cover this 250 m² green with golf balls. First, we had to do the maths 👇 1️⃣ A golf ball’s diameter = 42.67 mm (0.04267 m) Footprint area = π × r² = 0.00143 m² 2️⃣ Divide the green by that area: 250 m² ÷ 0.00143 m² ≈ 174,825 golf balls ✅ Final Answer: about 175,000 balls to cover a green (no gaps). We failed. But if you can guess how many balls we actually used in this shoot, you’ll win a £50 MANORS voucher. Drop your guess below ⬇️ This was possible because 3 different courses donated their range balls for us to do this shoot for £0. They just wanted to help. People from Iceland are amazing. Thanks Thordur and Kiðaberg golf club.

Here are 3 reasons Royal County Down is regularly rated as the best golf course in the world: Location 📍 The course sits at the foot of the Mourne Mountains which bloom a lush green and purple in summer and offer a moody dramatic backdrop in the winter. To the right of the opening holes is Dundrum Bay, a 5 mile stretch of beach ready to catch errant tee shots. Holes run through channels that sit deep below the dunes, giving views of nature at every angle. History 🕰️ Back in 1889 the railway arrived in the town of Newcastle and a group of Belfast businessmen were eager to capitalise on the new infrastructure. Scotsman George Baillie laid out the initial 9 holes and shortly after that Old Tom Morris was given the call to advise on a second nine. From then on, a who’s who of course architects visited and advised on the development of the site, from JH Taylor to Harry Colt. Signature Holes ⭐ The 200 yard par 3 4th is the first jaw dropper as you turn to face the mourne mountains. Linear grass paths guide your eye to a green surrounded by 9 pot bunkers. The 9th gets the headlines though, where the view from the top of the hill looks down to a fairway punctuated by heather covered mounds, the pink spire of Slieve Donard adding a mystical touch.
