Hiiiiiiiiiii it’s been about 6 weeks since the end of tour/a nice little break from social media and my brain has been spinning to say the least. I’m in the midst of some massive changes in my life and part of that is discovering who I really am as an artist for the first time. I’m still very much in the thick of it, but lately I’ve been writing music that feels more authentic to me than anything I’ve ever made. I’m finally letting go of what I think will be popular and just making the music I would want to listen to. That may seem like a no brainer, but I haven’t really ever done that, and It feels so good to be doing it now. Scary, but good. At the beginning of the year, I decided to release a single every month like I used to. But after tour, when this internal shift started, I noticed the songs I was writing felt different. They felt connected. They felt like they were forming a body of work. It’s still very early, and I still don’t know exactly what I’m making, but it feels like a new album. All this to say - I still have some songs I intended to release as singles, so here’s the plan: I’m going to drop a couple more songs before the year is over….I just couldn’t let them die! Plus a throw back surprise for my day ones. Then next year, I’ll start rolling out this new season of music. I’m documenting as much of the process as I can because I want to bring y’all into these uncharted waters with me and, to be honest, it feels really exciting! I can’t thank you all enough for how much you’ve stuck with me as I’ve grown and changed. I really believe I’m tapping into something real and true and new and I’m excited to keep digging babyyyyyy. Here we go!
