The lush green landscape makes it feel like dinosaurs still live here. You can see famous filming spots from movies like Jurassic Park. ❌ Cons There are zero roads to access this very remote coastline. Getting to the island of Kauai requires taking an extra flight. The only way to see the Na Pali Coast is by hiking or paying for a boat or helicopter tour (which can be pricey!) 💡Travel Tips Book a helicopter or boat tour well in advance to secure your spot. If you plan to hike the Kalalau Trail, you must get a permit early. Bring motion sickness medicine if you choose the boat tour option (I got sea-sick on the boat! 🤢😂) 📅 When to Go May - September. Follow us @HudsonAndEmily for our TOP 3 most beautiful countries in the world (coming next week)!! Which ones do you think they should be?! Here are countries 4-6. Ask anyone who loves to travel their most beautiful countries they've been to and there's a good chance that 1 of these is towards the top of their list. They're so frequently mentioned that I thought for sure they had to be "overrated" but I can confirm they really are THAT beautiful. On top of that, all three of these countries have so many diverse landscapes and are relatively accessible to travel through! #6: New Zealand - Mountains with 1,000s of cascading waterfalls! Rolling valleys full of sheep. All surrounded by majestic snow capped mountains! It's like when God made New Zealand He decided to take a little piece of the most beautiful things in the world and cram them into 1 country! Not to mention it's one of the easiest countries in the world to road trip! #5: Iceland - I know this one seems cliché. But hear me out... Blue lagoons, erupting volcanoes, glaciers, black sand beaches, geysers, waterfalls and northern lights all within an area smaller than the state of Colorado!!! Not to mention most of the things are so easily accessible!! 🤯 There's a reason why Iceland is towards the top of everyone's list. #4: Indonesia - It's often forgotten that Indonesia is the 4th most populated country in the world! And with over 17,500 islands (ya that is a lot!) it is home to some of the most diverse beauty. Of course the island of Bali itself is beautiful. But don't forget Raj Ampat, Mount Bromo, Lombak, Komodo Islands, orangutans of Borneo, and countless other areas! The list is based on 3 main things: 1st our experience. 2nd our research of the country as a whole. 3rd other traveler's suggestions. *Photo credits in video. "Big 5" - One of the best places to see the "big 5" and big cats in the wild. Ngorongoro Crater - right next to Serengeti and possibly an even better place to see wildlife! Great Migration - The only place in the world to see the Great Migration! Where over a million wildebeest and zebras travel across the Mara river. It is unlike anything we've seen! ❌ Cons Crowds - especially during the Great Migration, Serengeti can become overly crowded. Vast size - Because the park is sooo big, (the size of Connecticut!) there can be several hours where you are driving from one part to the other. Bumpy Roads - Unlike Kruger and other parks, even the main roads are bumpy! (and you could lose your spare gas tank like we did 😉) Tsetse Flies - these annoying, potential malaria carrying flies are in the area. Wear light colored clothes and we didn't have too much of a problem with them. 🎈Hot Air Balloon Ride Serengeti is one of the best places to take a hot air balloon safari! 📅 When to Go: Every month has it's pros and cons. June - October is the best time to visit because the dry weather makes it easier to spot the animal herds. August - September is peak Great Migration but it is also the busiest and most expensive times of the year. You can choose between the iconic south rim or the peaceful north rim. The hiking trails offer an unforgettable adventure for all skill levels. ❌ Cons The areas near the main visitor's center on the south rim gets completely overrun with crowds during peak season. The North rim is closed for the winter. If you just come for the view and not to hike and explore you might leave disappointed. 💡Travel Tips Get away from the crowded visitor center and Mather Point for a better experience. Drive the extra four hours to the north rim if you want to escape the massive crowds. Book your lodges or campgrounds at least six months in advance because they sell out fast. Or stay outside the park and drive into the park before sunrise. 📅 When to Go March - May. We've visited almost every country in the world and Palau is one of the most underrated! (especially if you love the ocean! 🐠😍) If you've never heard of it you're not alone! It's population is so small that at 16,000 people the entire country could fit into a basketball stadium! But this place is home to some of the most beautiful islands, blue water, and incredible ocean wildlife. For a quieter, more adventurous vacation, Palau is incredible! 😍 Visit before it becomes too crowded. She’s sailing on the world’s newest cruise ship! 🚢 Welcome to Norwegian Luna! Here’s a tour of some of our favorite aspects of the ship, with more info below about each! 1. Ship Design - Everything is brand new, modern, and super thought out. There’s so much to explore with @Norwegian Cruise Line but it’s still easy to navigate, which we loved. 2. Pools - The main pool deck has tons of loungers and space, and there are multiple areas depending on your vibe. It never feels like you are stuck in one crowded area! 3. Specialty Restaurants - There are so many options, but the hibachi at Hasuki was SUCH a fun experience. We also loved Cagney’s steakhouse if you want more of a date night vibe. 4. Great Stirrup Cay Beaches - NCL’s private island stop is unreal, with clear water and soft sand. We had access to Silver Cove, which we highly recommend for their private villas! 5. Indulge Food Hall - There are SO many incredible places to eat on the ship, but our favorite was Indulge. You order from a tablet at your table, and can get a mix of different cuisines all at once. It’s one of those spots that feels elevated but is still included! 6. Ship Entertainment - There is SO much happening at all times…from Vibe Beach Club to the Mandarin Spa, Aqua Slidecoaster, Glow Court, live shows like Elton, game zones, mini golf, obstacle courses, pickleball, and more. You could genuinely never be bored on this ship! Getting to unpack once and experience all of this in one trip is a trip you’ll never forget. You can check out NCL’s latest deals in our links page!
