I’ve been wearing contacts for a couple years now, and I always order through 1-800 Contacts. 🫶🏼 Next time you order contacts, use 1-800 Contacts and you’ll see how much easier it is I swear #ad @1-800 Contacts

I spent so much time figuring out how to MAKE money as a business owner…that then when it came time to figure out the tax side of things, I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. 😅 Taxes are where a lot of freelancers get overwhelmed. If I could go back to the beginning, I would’ve hired a tax expert sooner. Using TurboTax Experts for Business is like having a tax and industry expert when you need them throughout the year. Any question you have (like if you can write something off), you can literally just call them up! 😭 I KNOW this would’ve saved me so much in deductions (and stress). @Intuit TurboTax #TurboTaxPartner #Ad

all the savings accounts I have! This is technically all under one account and each “account” is just a bucket (which is really just for you to visually separate your funds!). I use Ally and SoFi (Ally is what’s shown here!) #sinkingfunds #savingmoney #financialtransparency

this was one of the biggest mindset shifts for me that unlocked a lot of blessings. why on earth would I expect to get the things I’m asking for when I can’t manage what I have? how does that show that I’m ready for the “more” than I’m asking for? what I learned: treat the old car like it’s the dream one. treat the place you live like it’s your dream home. treat the job that pays your bills now like the one you want to pay your bills eventually. manage your finances just as well now as you would when you have more. whatever it is you want, show that you’re ready for more. #growthmindset #mindsetshift

closet audit with an unexpected ending 🤠 step 1: take out your favorites (you can look at these later to find patterns in your most worn items) step 2: take out the things that you hate or that don’t match your ideal style. (you need to be very honest with yourself on this part) step 3: make outfits with what you have. In my case, all the outfits she was able to make with what I had were things I’d worn before. My closet was lacking THAT much 🥲 this was honestly very validating because I have tried to use what I have and make sure I’m not falling into over consumption, but I always end up frustrated with my closet so it was good to hear that I’m not crazy and my closet really is the issue. what I have just truly does not work for my ideal style. to the mall we go!! #f#findingmystylep#personalstylet#tampastylisttylist: @A@Alyza Sutton

learnings and takeaways: 1. fabric quality matters. draping a quality sweater over your shoulders will always look more elevated than a cheap, thin material. I thought I could get away with thrifting cheaper sweaters instead of buying something higher quality, but it didn’t work. instead: I would just buy the higher quality sweater from the jump. you can thrift these too, it doesn’t need to be pricey, but pay VERY close attention to things like material thickness, how worn it looks, etc. 2. if you wouldn’t buy it now, it likely doesn’t need to be in your closet. I feel the guilt of “I spent money on it, so I should keep it” even if I bought it 6 years ago. but reality is, it doesn’t help to hold onto things you wouldn’t be excited to find at the store now. instead: ask yourself “would I buy this if I saw it at the store today?” and if the answer is no, it’s okay to part with it. 3. it’s good to think about how you want to present. when people meet you, what qualities do you want them to assume you embody? (confidence, poise, power, depth, creativity, etc) if what you’re wearing doesn’t make YOU feel those things, you may wind up reflecting that externally. for me, this meant ditching a lot of my really old, casual t-shirts from college. instead: ask yourself how you FEEL in pieces. you know those pieces that you just come ALIVE in, like you want to take pictures and dance around in? make sure you have enough of those. — one thing Alyza said to me that has stuck with me was that how I’m dressing now doesn’t reflect how she sees me. she said she sees me as more powerful, confident, and baddie business woman vibes, but my wardrobe doesn’t reflect that in any way (which is true). that is how I WANT to show up. so people really SEE me when they meet me. so off to the mall we go to shop!! welp 🥲 I knew we’d need to buy pieces to make my closet better. but she could only make a few outfits out of what I had to match my inspo board (and both outfits I’d worn before). i have 1 pair of jeans I love. 1 pair of denim shorts and I don’t love them. 1 pair of linen pants. no linen shorts. only a handful of more elevated basic tops. hardly any accessories. what is a stylist going to do with that?! there’s only so much she can do!! but that was the validating part. I get really in my head about not consuming too much, but I think I’ve UNDERconsumed. having a professional who does this every single day look at my closet and feel stumped for how to create the type of outfits I want…no WONDER I am stressed over here trying to get dressed!! 😂 TO THE MALL WE GO 💃🏼 Stylist: @Alyza Sutton #findingmystyle #personalstyle #tampastylist
