Did I just make mini croissants out of frozen scallion pancake? 🫢🥐  And I fully admit it’s more like 1 PRODUCT, and technically 3 ingredients, ok?? 🤪 Honestly I still can’t believe this worked 😅 These scallion pancake croissant bites were SOOO crispy, poppable, and might disappear in minutes if you’re not looking 👀 The tips + tricks / recipe are in the comments!  All you need are frozen scallion pancakes (you can find them in the frozen section of most Asian supermarkets) [ TIPS ] - defrost the scallion pancake in room temp for about 5 minutes or until it's pliable and able to roll - Peel the top layer of plastic off and keep the bottom plastic layer  - using a paring knife, slice pancake into many small triangles and roll from thick end all the way to the tip - you can brush croissant bites with egg wash and garnish with sesame seeds but it's optional - air fry at 375F for 5 minutes, and 425F for an extra 2-3 minutes (basically until golden brown and super crispy ✨) PRO TIP: drizzle some chili oil for an instant punch of flavour! 🔥  Enjoy!!! #scallionpancake #croissantbites #foodhack

Not me spending only $1.50 for this jar of chili crisp 🤭💰 ✨ TIPS ✨ Ingredient Reccos: - You can find fried garlic and fried onions at any Asian supermarket (usually about $1 USD/$1.50 CAD) per small bag - My fav affordable (and widely available) chili oil brand is Laoganma Spicy Chili Crisp #notsponsored - This chili crisp is only around $3.50 USD/$5 CAD  Steps: - To ensure OPTIMAL CRISPINESS, toast the fried garlic and fried onion in a dry pan on low heat for 30 seconds to make sure it's super dry and there is no moisture AT ALL - Wait until it cools, then transfer to a dry clear jar - ratio should be 60% fried garlic and onion, 40% chili oil  - mix until combined - store in fridge and ideally use within 2-3 weeks #chilicrisp #EasyRecipe #foodhack

[ DAY 4 ] Budget-Friendly High Protein Tuna Rice Paper Wraps Ingredients: (makes 2) 6 rice paper sheets 1 canned tuna 1/2 cup corn 1/4 cup gherkins, chopped 2 small cucumbers, diced 3/4 cup cottage cheese 1 1/2 tbsp dijon mustard 4-6 pieces of romaine lettuce salt (to taste) pepper (to taste) 1. In a large bowl, combine canned tuna, corn, chopped gherkins, cottage cheese, cucumbers, dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly. 2. Dip 3 pieces of rice paper into warm water and put it on a large chopping board with one one the top, and two on the bottom (like a 3 way venn diagram). 3. Add two pieces of romaine lettuce to the bottom half of the rice paper, and scoop the tuna mixture into the lettuce. 4. Fold the sides in and roll up like a burrito. Spread on avocado/guacamole for extra oomph and flavour! It’s been a while since I’ve done a rice paper recipe so here you go! It’s so refreshing for the summer (you can even saran wrap it and bring with you on a picnic). You can either steam these dumplings for 15 mins, or pan fry in a skillet with some oil. For the sauce, combine sauce ingredients into a small bowl and pour into skillet halfway through the cooking process & serve! We’re rolling into Day 2 with these juicy, flavour-packed napa cabbage dumplings... no wrappers needed!
