#ad 3 dogs + 1 cat + hardwood floors = I mop more than any person should. And I am very particular about what goes on my floors because whatever is on them ends up on my dogs and honestly on me too.
The O-Cedar RinseClean Spin Mop is the one I use downstairs where most of the real damage happens. The two bucket system is the reason. Clean water never touches dirty water, which sounds obvious but I promise you most mops are just moving the same dirty water around your floor the whole time.
I use my own nontoxic floor cleaner in it which I love. No fragrance, no chemicals I can't pronounce, just clean floors.

#ad For the first time in 6 years I have an empty house. No dogs, no chaos, just me finally doing everything I've been putting off. Painting walls. Running Errands. Deep cleaning in a way I genuinely never get to. The O-Cedar H2prO flat mop lives upstairs permanently. This is my lighter everyday clean, bedrooms, bathrooms, and honestly it works insanely well on windows too. Same principle as my downstairs mop though, clean water and dirty water never mix. It actually sprays clean water every single time you insert the mop. The engineering behind it is kind of wild. Will the walls be painted before they get back? Unclear. But the floors are going to be immaculate. @O-Cedar #OCedarPartner

Replying to @Sydney ☕️🍷 My favorite places to get fall basics that aren't polyester. If you want another video about places I shop for more detailed pieces like occasion wear, interesting tops, purses, etc and I can do another! @aritzia cashmere. In terms of price, thickness, softness, and style their cashmere wins for me. It's super soft and they use Good Standard Cashmere which most places do not @everlane white t shirt is something I need 10 of in my closet. Their shoes are a hidden gem imo @triarchy patiently waiting for the fall collection @ebay and thrifting for leather and outerwear that won't break the bank. I can share more places that sell great pieces, but they're gonna be a little pricier so Imk.

✨ PSA: You don’t need a Lola blanket ✨ They don’t tell you on their website where the blankets are made — and for good reason. They’re mass-produced overseas with virgin polyester (aka plastic) marketed as “luxury.” ❌ Microplastic shedding: Every wash + use releases tiny plastic fibers into your air and home, and eventually your lungs + waterways. ❌ Virgin polyester: Derived straight from fossil fuels, it’s one of the most environmentally destructive fibers — energy intensive, non-biodegradable, and destined for landfills. ❌ Health impact: Studies show synthetic textiles can contribute to indoor air pollution and even shed endocrine-disrupting chemicals. Bottom line: overpriced plastic blankets with zero transparency are not a wellness buy. Don’t let “luxury” branding hide the truth.

I can’t be the only one noticing the shift. The Nara collection had synthetics in 10/12 pieces. The fall collection had over 50% pieces with synthetics. Just feels like we’re paying more for cheap synthetic fabrics under the guise of sustainability

🥩Just a fun fact to start your day:) | probably tan about 5 times a year at this point (maybe less). If I do tan I use Elan Pure or Beauty By Earth - they're by far the cleanest options.

Y’all asked and I answered! My review of Reale Actives by Alix Earle! I just wanna say that 1. she does not market this as a clean brand 2. I’m not evaluating this for efficacy - I haven’t tried the product, I’m literally just looking at ingredients from a nontoxic perspective. But honestly, for someone that didn’t market. This is a clean brand, I t’s pretty clean! B+ in my book

Replying to @Rosa Diana All of my favorite nontoxic basics that I wear pretty much everyday. You can find the other items under the clothing category on there too! I don’t buy anything polyester anymore but when I first started switching to 100% natural fabrics, I started with the basics. I always say to focus on the clothing that you spend the majority of your day in so that’s underwear loungewear PJs. Then you can go after more occasion clothing and things you wear for a small amount of time. @oddobody @sorted.brand @q.for.quinn @mate_the_label @coucouintimates @adanola @floreflore.world . . . . . . #nontoxicliving #sustainablefashion #wellness #cleanliving

Which one do you think we should get for Brandon and me?? 🤎 This is one of the last things we need to do before the wedding. I love @Brilliant Earth because they source all of their diamonds ethically and focus on sustainability with recycled metals and FSC packaging. A 10/10 experience overall. Nothing is more fun than trying on diamonds all day and I can’t wait to choose the rings! #brilliantearthpartner

Fake clean beauty is getting harder to spot. Salt & Stone just launched a body oil, and it’s a perfect example of how marketing and formulation can tell two completely different stories. The product is marketed around macadamia oil, squalane, and seaweed extracts. But if you actually read the ingredient list, the first ingredient is sunflower seed oil, and they don’t disclose whether it’s cold pressed or refined. Refined sunflower oil is typically solvent extracted and bleached, and it costs a fraction of cold pressed oils. For context, the base of our Shelter Skin body oil is 100 percent organic golden jojoba oil, which is roughly 10x the cost. Squalane is also heavily featured in their marketing, but in the actual formula it appears below the fragrance blend. In a leave on product that almost certainly places it under one percent. Then there’s the fragrance system. The scent is marketed as Santal and Vetiver, but those essential oils aren’t listed anywhere on the ingredient list. Instead, the third ingredient in the entire formula is tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, a synthetic musk sitting above the rosemary extract, vitamin E, and even the squalane. This highlights how fragrance labeling works in cosmetics. Brands can hide dozens of ingredients inside the word “fragrance,” including synthetic aroma chemicals. Sometimes a few botanical extracts are listed separately so the formula appears more natural, even when most of the scent is coming from fragrance compounds. Your skin is your largest organ. You deserve to know what’s actually in what you’re putting on it. And that’s the nontoxic tea.

& Next up in the Nontoxic by New Years series, we're going into the heart of the home: the kitchen. All links are on thenontoxictea.com under kitchen. Big wins here are getting rid of the plastic utensils, nonstick cookware, and getting a good water filter. Also, yes these swaps can be expensive, but you can also find incredibly inexpensive and great quality cookware and glass at thrift stores!

The HIGHLY requested phone charm tutorial! Comment link and I'll send ya the supplies list. This was something fun that I taught myself how to do a couple of years ago and whenever I feel like I need a good cathartic craft day, I go to Michael's, pick out new beads, and make phone charms. I wouldn't say it's more cost-effective to make them yourself. You can definitely find them pretty cheap, but I consider this akin to needle point - a fun screen, free a craft that yields a really cute product! #diyphonecharm #crafts

5 Your skin is your biggest organ - you should care about what you put on it! welcome to part 4 of my series Nontoxic by New Years and today we are chatting skincare. This was one of the first things I started diving into when starting my PCOS healing journey. It was completely new news to me that my perfume and all of the products I was buying from Sephora potentially had ingredients that were harmful for my healing journey. My number one piece of advice is to cut out synthetic fragrance that will eliminate almost 99% of the problematic products. And you'll regain a better sense of smell. I have a ton of recommendations by category on my blog if you want to dive deeper.
