But have I made a huge mistake by going behind my partners back and digging our newly finished garden up in an attempt to inject some character and life🪴 Would you have done this? Or would you have just finished there for winter??! Like & Save for future inspo! Details here: Bistro set was £24 from tesco. My ADHD assessment outcome! Was not expecting this complex explanation of why I am the way I am. But it’s the day everything has clicked, like a puzzle… I feel relief and I finally understand myself more and can stop being so bloody hard on myself. Because keeping up in a neurotypical world with my brain is so incredibly hard. I’m hoping to now get the support I need to live a better life for me and my family ❤️ Thank you for all your love and support online throughout this journey and now I have a lot of thinking to do in terms of meds, therapy, treatment route. Big news on my ADHD Journey: I’m finally at the top of the waitlist after almost 4 years!!! The waitlist is so crazy and I’ve gone through the hardest parenting years with absolutely NO support. I was consumed with depression and to be quite honest very nearly am not here to tell the tale 😅 Some ADHD Symptoms I Struggle With as a Mum: 1. Easily overstimulated by noise, mess, and chaos. For me what really sets me off is things like people moving their feet, chewing, even breathing. It has meant I’ve had to isolate myself from everyone to cope 2. Struggle to start or finish basic tasks 3. Big emotions over small things and hard to regulate AND a lot of the time you will end up having children with neurodivergent needs too which is even more load 4. Constantly losing track of time and running late to everything!!! 5. Deep mum guilt + fear of judgment (rejection sensitivity) and socially struggling I’m sharing this because maybe you’ve felt it too the guilt, the chaos, the constant feeling that you’re not enough. But you’re not a failure. You’re not broken. You’re navigating motherhood with an invisible load most people can’t see. Sharing our stories helps other mums realise they’re not alone and maybe, just maybe, stop blaming themselves for things that were never their fault. You’re not lazy. You’re not too emotional. You’re not weak. You are a mum doing her best with a brain that’s wired differently and that takes courage most people will never understand. After 10 years of renting, we finally own a house… but my new build is giving me the ICK 😩PART 1 🧼 Magnolia walls, naked bulbs, cowboy builder DIY (ps did you see the toilet seat hanging off!!!) zero character… sound familiar? Don’t get me wrong I’m so blessed and grateful to have a roof over my head and we love our house. But all our money has been poured into actually buying the house that we have no money to decorate this year.
