One whole year with the sweetest little love I’ve ever known.
My chicken. My doodie woodie. My Ames. My bubby. My rainbow.
Happy 1st birthday to the sweetest boy I’ve ever met.
As long as I can remember, all I’ve ever wanted was to be a mom. I spent years praying, constantly asking God to make me one & then you came. To think the Lord saw me worthy enough to be your mom is something that makes me emotional every single day. You are so much more than I ever prayed for. From the moment you were born, you’ve brought an indescribable, overflowing joy into my life. You are such a light to your daddy and me.

And to think that the love I have for you is just a glimpse of how much our Lord and Savior loves you, me, and everyone else—it’s beyond my comprehension. What a gift! Life is so much better because of you. Everything feels new & exciting, & I love getting to experience it all through your eyes. You have completely softened me. You’ve made me mush. That tough exterior I’ve always carried doesn’t exist with you. You are so full of life & have the best personality—sweet, compassionate, goofy, very vocal, loving, independent, charismatic, and strong-willed. I am so incredibly proud of you & all you’ve done in just one year of life. I can’t wait to see who you continue to grow into this next year & beyond.
